Monitor display says OSD Lockout /no signal input
This document pertains to LCD monitors .One of the following messages appears on the screen (over the items being displayed).OSD LockoutOSD Lock-out... or similar message.This message occurs when the Menu button on the front panel is pressed for more than 10 seconds. OSD lockout prevents the OSD menu from opening on the screen when a button is accidentally pressed. NOTE: The button may be different and the procedure might vary on some monitors. Please check your monitor User Guide to find the exact procedure if this procedure does not work.To remove the OSD Lockout message, release the Menu button (if something was pressing against it), and press and hold the Menu button again for about 10 seconds - until the message goes away. If the OSD Lockout message does not go away, the button may be stuck or the hardware behind the button might have become defective.

This error is due the battery. The battery didn't get sufficient power supply. If you are using the duplicate battery I suggest you to purchase a genuine battery from the authorized reseller. before that try the following steps as a first aid and it may help you.
follow each step
- First of all, remove the battery on your Dell laptop.
- Turn over the Dell laptop.
- Then pull out to remove the battery
- Wait a few minutes at least 50- 60 seconds.
- Next, start your Dell Laptop.
if this steps didn't work out then it is better it to the authorized service provider and get your gadget replaced with the genuine battery

My 1TB Dell hard drive is losing about 10GB per day of storage space
I haven't before this heard of such a thing.
I am wondering how you have determined this figure and what exactly you mean - do you mean the 1TB drive is now considerably less than 1TB? Perhaps you mean the available space on the drive is reducing by 10Gb per day?
If the latter it suggests your computer is downloading lots of stuff without your knowledge and if the former it suggests the hard drive is failing.
I suggest you connect your hard drive to a different computer via a usb adaptor and run the check disc utility and examine the contents to discover whether there is content on it you didn't put there.

is this a laptop, and is useless now. totally.
but the battery is bad, remove the big battery it is shorted now.
then the coin cell battery went dead 2 decades go.
and now the HDD is bad.

far far better fish in the sea, far newer, and cheap. used.
this lappy has CCFL back lamps that went bad long ago.
