HELP! dropped camera, lens won't go back in, shutter won't close

I have a camsung L830 that had similar problems and and after I would turn it on, it would beep three times and turn off....but I somehow fixed the lens by turning the camera on and then either pushing/pulling on the part the stickes out and hopefully it might activate the mechanism and it'll go in...that's what happened with mine...the shutters still won't close though. But I'm happy I can use my camera now.

How long did you wait before reinserting the battery? (30sec - 1min?) Did you try it with any memory cards removed?

Processing pause

Turn off the auto red eye removal option......you can manually remove red eye later. If the auto red eye removal is on, it will try and process each picture after you take it and slow down camera.

This thing recorded video without audio.

No, sorry. This camera has a small glitch where it occasionally records video without sound, especially if it has been on for a while. In order to fix this, you can simply turn the camera off and on when it is recording without sound.

Recording video and processing came up

The processing bar came up automatically for one of two reasons: You ran out of space for the video to save on your memory, or the SD card you are using writes too slow to record video after a certain length.

About it not turning on: The blinking light means the camera is processing (saving your video) and you will have to wait until it stop processing (the blinking light will turn off) in order to turn the camera back on.

PICTURES

The camera has a built-in accelerometer, so that it automatically orients the image as soon as you take it. If you are holding the camera sideways, you'll have to turn it back to normal in order to see the image right side up.

R927 will not power on.

i had this problem with this camera when i had it new i would put the camera on the dock to charge and then use it then finally it wouldnt work and i realised that the camera wasnt charging. i contacted hp who i found to not be very helpful, they eventually sent me out a new battery even tho i told them i felt it wasnt the battery, of course the same thing happened with the new battery. i called them again and said i felt that there may be a loose connection in the wire going from the transformer to the dock as by messing around with it had made the light come on but as soon as i let go it went off, they agreed to send a replacement. when the replacement arrived they sent the part of the cable that plugged into mains and as such was no use, they siad they would send the right one but as yet i have not received it. =S however, by moving the wire where it plugs into the dock i have manged to get the camera to charge, it may be worth messing with the wire to see if this is the case with urs and calling for a replacement. claire xx =D

HP Photosmart R927 Battery Compartment door latch

Same problem, The small plastic tab that extends into the slot to keep the battery compartment door broke off. I can't locate a source for replacement part. I disassembled the slide and reversed it, breaking off the little tip that fit into spring, and it sort of works, but a new plastic slide would be much better.

Are you sure that the battery is holding a charge? If it is holding a charge check the contacts on the battery and inside the camera. you can clean both of them with a pencil eraser gently rub the eraser on the contacts and this will clean them. I hope this helps you out and fixes your problem.
