EzTune problem with lost PIN number to disable Theft Deterence
Whatever you do - DON'T CONTACT GATEWAY. I am in the UK, and the Gateway support number is only available 9 - 5 (funny 'cos I'm at work then and can't access my PC), so I filled in the technical support form - waited 2 days for a reply only to be told they don't support third party software.
I had an online chat with US Gateway support - only to be told the same thing - alternatively, pay them silly amounts of money and phone the US and they will fix the problem.
The solution is to visit Portrait Displays (software developers) website and complete an online form with your problem. (This form prompts as to whether you have already contacted Gateway - so maybe they are monitoring the adequacy of Gateway support. The support from Portrait has been brilliant.
Unplug the cable from your monitor and then hold the power button while you plug the cable back in. When the monitor is fully restored,
release the power button and an anti-theft box will appear, prompting you to press the menu button at the side of your monitor. Press the menu button and you will be given a 3-digit code. Portrait need this code to give you an unlock code. Once you have the unlock code you can remove the anti-theft option.

Lock out of my computer through eztune-
Call Gateway @1-800-gateway. They will tell you to unplug the monitor, plug it back in while holding the power button. A screen will apear giving you a code number. The gateway rep. asks for the code number and then gives you a code number to unlock your screen.
I have a gateway FPD1975W
From your description you have a power supply problem, usually caused by defective capacitors, sometimes they will bulge at the top indicating an open condition. If you decide to repair check the inverter board that powers the back lights behind the screen, because they are also prone to bad caps.
My monitor wont stay on.
Navigate to the control panel and double click power options. On the Power Schemes Tab ensure that all the fields are set to NEVER.
This will keep your monitor on all the time.
Thumbs up!

Goes into standby and will not come up
Check the power supply section first fo bad caps, but before doing that, try it on another PC first.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed Gateway and other monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Did the screen get cracked?
If so, I would most likely suggest replacement than a repair.
The LCD panels are not cheap.

first take a look into the add remove software from the control panel to see if there is any program that is named like this ...and remove it ...it might came with the monitor driver ..and it is set in the wrong time ....
but ..the actual problem is that you have set the power savings from the desktop properties...so ..right click on desktop ..go to screen saver ..somewhere in the lower place ya have something like power manager ...go there and remove any power savings ...just place them to never shut down .. and it will stay on ...
