Furnace will not run complete cycle ,several clicks and the and the furnace shutdown and restarts, will not bring the house to temperature

If it's a 90%+ gas furnace, check the combustion air pvc pipe for blockage, if not enough air for proper combustion, control board will shut down the flame to keep from burning poorly! Check your air filter, there's an overtemperature safety switch in the heat exchanger to protect the furnace/ your house, and low airflow will cause the heat exchanger to overheat. Finally, check to see if the flames actually ignite, if no flame, the controller will reset and try again, then if no flame, the controller will reset and try again, then if no flame, the controller will reset and try again, then if no flame, the controller will reset and try again.... get the idea? :) If this is the case, check my other solutions, I just answered someone elses question about non ignition. Hope this helps.

Just replaced pressure switch on intertherm m1mb

CHECK FLUE FOR OBSTUCTIONS AS WELL AS COMBUSTION AIR INTAKE FIRST. THEN CHECK TO SEE IF THE FURNACE DRAIN IS OPEN AND NOT CLOGGED [ONLY IF YOUR FURNACE IS A CONDENSATING HIGH EFFICIENCY MODEL, typically the flue pipe will be 2 or 3 inch pvc pipe] over the years more often than not, it is an obstruction or poor drainage which will not prove the pressure switch to allow the burner to ignite. in rare cases the furnace control board could be bad as well.TRY DISCONNECTING FLUE AND COMB. AIR AT FURNACE JUST TO SEE IF FURNACE WILL IGNITE. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!!

I have an intertherm electric furnace. the heat

It is possible that high temp limit is shutting you down.make sure your blower is running when t-stat is calling for heat.if notstart at the heat sequencer which cuts the blower on with first bank of heat. it will be dangerous and difficult to troubleshoot this prob without a multimeter and experiance with elect. components

My furnace heats up and then shuts down not

Your furnace is shutting off on the high limit switch because of this. You are having a problem with the blower motor. You need to check for power from the wires on the board that feeds the motor. If you have voltage, and your run capacitor is good, you have a faulty blower motor. If its a fan relay, the fan would start and run all of the time. Check power to motor right after furnace shuts the burners off.Robert Horton

Hi, did he bypass the high limit to see if it was bad? Sounds like you are getting false codes and you have a problem in your module or main board, which ever you have. The way it is acting, saying the high limit is open but the tech says its not, I would change the board.Shastalaker7
