Do any of the Icons have double vision? and the display is distorted also? If so then your analog / digital board is bad and needs to be replaced, If you remove the bezel of the monitor and are able to get the monitor apart to get to the board, be sure to search for the correct part number listed on the board and Vola, you be back in business again. You can find these boards on Ebay for not too much money. Hope this helps.

The Dell E173FP monitors come in several versions but the problem you have is caused by the same thing, a power supply about to fail. Check our web site at:
www.ccl-la.com we have repair guides for most versions of the monitor. Check the last letter for the version, the letter will be lower case. On our site click on monitor repair and then the version of the E173FP that you have. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for $30 plus return shipping.

I hope this helps you, if so please rate our solution.

The dell monitors are bad with capacitors going out, check caps in power supply and video board. You can use a can of freeze, it would be easier that way. Just be careful not to touch anything, because these monitors can shock easy.

Greetings to you! This error is due the battery. The battery didn't get sufficient power supply. If you are using the duplicate battery I suggest you to purchase a genuine battery from the authorized reseller. before that try the following steps as a first aid and it may help you. follow each step
  • First of all, remove the battery on your Dell laptop.
  • Turn over the Dell laptop.
  • Then pull out to remove the battery
  • Wait a few minutes at least 50- 60 seconds.
  • Next, start your Dell Laptop.
if this steps didn't work out then it is better it to the authorized service provider and get your gadget replaced with the genuine battery thank you!

I haven't before this heard of such a thing. I am wondering how you have determined this figure and what exactly you mean - do you mean the 1TB drive is now considerably less than 1TB? Perhaps you mean the available space on the drive is reducing by 10Gb per day? If the latter it suggests your computer is downloading lots of stuff without your knowledge and if the former it suggests the hard drive is failing. I suggest you connect your hard drive to a different computer via a usb adaptor and run the check disc utility and examine the contents to discover whether there is content on it you didn't put there.

It alway zs helps to know the model number. Witht that information, you should be able to find the specifications at the Dell support site. It would simply tell you in a specs sheet. I guess you could download HWinfo, a handy freeware program and check informaiton about components there. There is of course the option to download the user manual.
