Make sure the proper input is selected

1: D-SUB for Blue VGA cable
2: DVI-D for White DVI cable

The option selected should be indicated on the power save screen.

If changing the input select and rebooting the computer have no effect an no video from the computer is ever displayed, then the monitor is in need of repair.

NO PC stated, wow. you hot swapped the card did you? PCI-e, x16 slot? dont do that, do not hot swap any thing in anyPC except USB, and SAS enterprise drives. here are the rules.(steps) turn off the disktop then pull the AC line cord then push power on, to discharge all CAPs in the SYSTEM hold the button for 10 seconds, hear fans spin 1sec, yah, wait say 5 minute more,( to not blow up any $300+ video card) now tickle the PCI card , edge lock, funny thing of plastic there, pull the card, now, and put in the new card. There will be no SPARKS done right. !!!! then power on. those are the rules, take an, A+ training course?

Hi Turn off your computer at mean while when you are turning on your computer you have keep hitting f8 key which would be top of the keyboard after hitting it 10 to 15 time you will have an option that safe mode with networking

this is a fairly common problem. The backlight circuit is probably shot. Not much to do but replace the monitor.

poer off monitor, disconnect cables from it,Press and hold the monitor power button down for 5 secondsreconnect cables , it shoud be reset

I had this problem and replaced the C637 (470µF) capacitor on the logic board. It is ok to replace it with a higher voltage capacitor.
