you probably blew your audio ic not you final .take it to a tech and let him fix it.

radio has a 3 yr warranty .send it back to galaxy

adjust your talkback to just open then set your echo to where you want it. Now turn your amp on and re-adjust both the talkback and the echo . If you have a speaker nearby the radio may be feeding back through it so move it away from your radio . Now start talking with the mic and adjust your echo because you should be able to hear yourself talk through your talkback.

bad ground to antenna Check your SWR with a voltmeter and a swr meter.check everything, check your mic connection for broken wires try another mic.

vr 14 is high vr 18 is low vr 16 is fine tune it. but there is a procedure to it so you will need the manual. go to www.cbtricks.com in the left column you will see radios , schematics , manuals.,click on it find g then click the go to galaxy dx and look at the list til you find dx-959 open it up and you will be in your glory. good luck.

You have a cold solder connection or dirty contacts in the relay.. key the radio and tap the radio... if the carrier goes away its a solder connection.

there is a lot to explain here. If your antenna is not matched good you could this problem.If your antenna is not in the ultimate locationyou may have this problem.It could also be the radio itself.Start by checking the obvious first then go to the next before having a tech do the repar.

vr14 and vr18

Turn the radio on.Now make sure its in cb not pa mode.Nowturn the squelch all the way to the left.Now turn RF gain and RF power all the way to the right.Hook an external speaker to the radio and see if it helps.By now the radio should be operating. If not then you have an internal problem..

It could be both the final and the driver

reset your swr on am then go to ssb and set it there.Keep going back and forth until your swr is set.

tuned it to the wrong side of peak.Go back and retune it.You di use a scope didn't you.?

you played with the radio didn't you. When you tried to peak and tune it you tuned it to the wrong side of peak.

did you or someone else wire another mic to it? Try the original mic to see if it still happens. you could buy some canned mr.freeze and give it a squirt around the mic connector and its circuits to the final and the Intergrated circuit. do it in steps until you find out where the problem is then replace that part.

you have to turn up the modulation then vr4 to wide open

This is a drive-by guess but I believe I have run across this problem on a forum. There is a diode that is allowing voltage to pass I believe there 2 that cathode to cathode and the double side band is feeding into ssb . Sorry could not be more help.
