Mywasher is off balance during spin cycle
Posssible shifting in the suspension of the drum or the failure of the shock absorbers. Look under the drum for the suspension, the counter weights and the dampers/shocks.
Replace teh dampers if they look sloggy, rectify any alignment of mountings and possible failrue of the drum bearings should also be checked.
Do not try to over load the drum and when washing large items like sheets take care to fold over.

It sounds like you have a bad lid switch. When it goes totally dead push on the lid towards the back center and see if you can get it to do anything. If so you will need to replace the lid switch. Hope this helps _MJ_

Remove the 2 screws under the edge of the bottom of the front panel then swing the front panel out to disengage the spring fasteners from the top cover. With the front panel removed, locate the small hose on the left side of the tub that runs from the bottom of the tub to the upper left side of the washer top. The hose connects to the bleach dispenser where must the leak be coming from. Either the hose is detached from the dispenser or it is pinched. Reconnect the hose if detached or replace it if necessary.

Your main centre bearing is defective caused by the inner hub and seal from developing a leak. I must admit these repairs are not your normal type of repair.Machine needs to be totaly stripped and wiring disconnected to gain access to components and repair. Maytag Legacy Toploader Leaks under the tub
After looking at various posts on your site, it seemed to me to be a gasket issue under the tub and the unit was going to have to be dismantled. I bought the set used, so I thought this would amount to more than I payed for the unit itself...maybe more than the both off them. So I did what I should of done when I bought these: I went to Lowe's and picked up a new sratch and dent set. They deliver this afternoon.
This is a great sight, but I hope I don't have to visit in the near future with a washer dryer problem. Thanks!
Leaves oil on clothes
The description of your issue focuses on the motor and or the pump.
1. there be residual lubricant in the pump or the hot water inlet valve or the moter of the washer has lubricant coming up thru the seals of the rotation spindal or shaft and is being mixed with the wash or rinse water and then the spin cycle settles the oil in the clothes.
This is the explanation but to remedy this will require full service of the washer.
1. resealing the washer drum
2. check and replace the pump
3. check a replace the seals on the inlet vavles.
Maytag washer doesnt fill with water. after about

Only washes in delicate cycle
You have either a defective timer or transmission (gearcase). Have a qualified technician come out and test the timer first. I say that because everything the washer does is controlled by the timer.
