My remote control cannot work on rewind, fast forward or comerical skip. The DVD screen display SET 1.

Hello, I had the same problem and after spending a few hours reading and trying things, I found a solution. Its very simple. Power on your unit (manually) and then on your remote control push and hold at the same time"enter" and the number "1" while pointing directly to your unit and this should solve the problem. Good luck.

Panasonic DVD Recorder DMR EX95VEBS remote control only displays DVD3 how can I reset this to get back to proper functions?

Dear FixYa
Thank you for your support. I have solved the problem on my DVD Recorder by reading other peoples solutions to this problem. My DVD display was showing DVD3 and all buttons would not work. So on the handset I pressed the ENTER/OK button and no. 3 button together for a few seconds, this cleared DVD3. I was so pleased that this worked. croneruk, 6/10/2008

The remote doesn'twork there is

  • Hi, I can help.

  • somehow your DVD recorder and the remote are using different codes. So you just want to get them both on "code 1."

  • To do this press and hold the "ENTER" and "1" buttons on the remote for 5 seconds and your remote and DVD recorder with both operate on code 1. At this point your remote will again work as normally.

  • If you have any comment please feel free to leave them here.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

My problem is I have

It is not possible to tune in 7two, channel 11, GO! or similar digital channels with this model DVD recorder, as its tuner would most likely be analogue only. You would either need to upgrade to a model with a digital tuner built in, or purchase an external set top box, capable of SD and HD digital reception, and connect its AV outputs to the respective inputs of the recorder, in order to record the channels you want.

However, being in OZ, those digital channels are available as free to air - all you would need is the appropriate receiver to enjoy them. I recommend a set top box which offers HD as well as SD.

I have a Panasonic DVDR

this is fixable. All you need to do is go to any store like wal mart, futureshop, best buy and find a CD cleaner. It is a CD with a little cloth fibers on one part. this will clean the laser of your DVD recorder and make it work again.

Sometimes dust gets on the laser and makes it not work.

How do you reset clock on your DVD Recorder

You can either copy and paste the following link into your browser, for quick-view, and/or save the .pdf document (instructions for Panasonic DMR-ES15 DVD recorder):

http://videolinq.tafe.net/attached_docs/pdf/equipment/Panasonic_DMR-ES15_User_Manual.pdf

(verified and complete to give you a basic operation manual for FREE download)

or you can try to set the clock manually, do this:

press [FUNCTIONS] on the remote while unit is on, to bring up the setup menu, scroll to 'OTHERS' look for 'CLOCK' or 'CLOCK SET' option, highlight it, click it, set the clock. Press [ENTER/OK] to access the date hour minute, etc., then press the relevant remote arrow buttons to select correct time/date, then press [ENTER/OK] to store the current setting. Then press [RETURN] to exit the setup. Clock is now set (this model does not offer automatic clock adjustment for daylight saving).

If the above suggestion does not work, download the pdf and save it for accurate reference. Either may help you.

My remote wont work it

You can try this simple idea; to re-code the remote to your unit, press and hold 1 and ENTER/OK buttons together for 5 - 10 seconds, then release. This should restore the remote command to match the unit, and thus the remote should work. Failing that, replace the batteries in the remote with new ones, and repeat the above suggested procedure.

If the remote is triggering 'SET 1' on the unit's display, this simply means the remote code is different to the unit, and hence the remote requires a reset to restore control to it whenever the batteries are replaced. Easy enough to fix, doesn't take very long, and should not cost anything except some new batteries if required.
