Hi Greg, I'd say you have a bad audio output IC, generally this will take out the fusable resistor that feeds the output stage, you should be able to find a part number on the IC, do a pin out and check between B+ and ground pins with it in circuit and see if you see a short. I don't know if you can find a service manual for it but hopefully you wouldn't need one

They always fail on the low power tracking laser. When it fails self test, it ejects. also First unplug power for at least an hour, then press and hold the power/on button while plugging back in, and keep holding for another 60 seconds . Try this So I call Panasonic and they said that all you have to do is just hold the track button to the right for 10 sec and it will enter the code for you. I tried it and it really works, after I got pass the code I went to the id code menu an entered my own pass code.
