Have you been able to find a strap extender? I have been trying to locate one myself and have not had any luck. If you have found one, please post where you found it.

Baby Trend seats are fairly simple. Where the sides of the hood meet the car seat you should be able to unhook the support brace and slide the hood off. Wash it and reinstall.

These are easy. Just make sure the middle pull strap/handle is up like a volcano in the middle of the bottom of the crib in order to RAISE or LOWER the sides. It's a saftey feature. Nothing goes up or down if the bottom is flat.

You need to adjust the moving back knob and set the height to be with or just below your child's shoulders. This will ensure a comfortable and safe position of the child in the seat.
Please note that each half turn of the knob raises or lowers the back with half an inch and that the knob, after the adjustments, must remain in a vertical position.

With tread you see dents round the back cover, where an adjustable tool with three pins that could be adjusted to size fits in. The back should also suddenly break loose. It is not for every body to try attempt this. Wear glasses and gloves. Look for the very thin rubber seal that makes the watch more or less water resistant. It has to go back in place and keep it on when you can.
