on startup a television is subjected to severe inrush currents this sometimes results in a blown fuse in the psu stage most often at cold startup...this is the place to start...remove and test psu fuse...take precaution when working on tv as many high voltages exist sometimes even long after power is turned off...avoid the high voltagte thick red lead going into the tv tube or discharge if required the same applies to any high voltage reservoir capacitor/s in the psu stage

I had the same problem, after searching the net for 2 hours to no avail, I got lucky and figured it out. Hold down the Ent and 0 keys at the same time for about 4 seconds. The green LED will come on. Enter the code of your TV or electronic and hit enter. then hit the power button on the remote. If the code was right the electronic will turn off.

If you tryed the manual search and it did not find any, I'm afraid this remote is not compadable with this unit. What happens when you gop into a manual search is the remote will go to each code, one by one, until it(the remote) goes to the end of the list that is programmed into itself. There simply is not a code for this unit. Unless it is a learning remote, where you can pporgram into or teach the remote from the original, I am sorry to say you will need to get another remote that has the right codes programmed in it.
