It's either something to do with your PC sound settings. Maybe the recording level for sound is set to low or switched off. Or it's in the Easycap software where the audio is switched off.

There's no such option in Workshop, the only options that reffer to looping are menu loop count where you can set menu looping from 1 to infinite and the add start and loop points under the button menu.

Amy, We would need a few more details about your video in question. Origional movie filetype, method of encoding, software used to burn, capture card used to create file etc. I do know for sure that making an ISO instead of a burning the folders or video files as a data/video DVD really doesn't do anything to help you with this problem. Also are you burning a traditional DVD or like many new players will play divx, xvideo, and windows media files. All of which could be burnt to a CD or DVD, and I have seen many files act similar to what your describing. Basically try to encode the video with another program and check to make sure you are using the appropriate frames per second. Here's a link to a free encoder that really works great for me. http://flaskmpeg.sourceforge.net/ O yea if you are trying to copy a vhs to dvd or a dvd without ripping the dvd you will get uneven audio, and video problems its called MACROVISION. good luck, Hack

I don't have a specific answer, but a consideration would be if the install of the same app went well on a similar machine, try and turn off all running applications, ESPECIALLY your antivirus software.
after installing, whether it tells you to or not, restart your computer.
This is a basic troubleshoot - it could be you have software or hardware that conflicts with Uleads instructions.
Because it's video software, make sure you DirectX, video drivers and codecs are all up to date.

Try different media. I find DVD burners to be very finicky about the DVDs it will accept. Try 3 or 4 different brands until you find one that doesn't error out, and stick with it.

You can install and run a Ulead software for Windows XP on Windows Vista by running
the Program Compatibility Wizard. We do not guarantee full stability for Windows Vista though.
To run Program Compatibility Wizard:

1. Open the "Program Compatibility Wizard" by
clicking the [Start] button, clicking [Control Panel], clicking [Programs],
and then clicking "Use an older program with this version of Windows".

2. Click [Next] when the "Program Compatibility Wizard" dialog box comes up.
3. Select "I want to use the program in the CD-ROM drive" and click [Next].
If the installer is not detected from the CD-ROM drive, please manually browse for the installer executable.
4. Under "Select a compatibility mode for the program" step, please click on "Microsoft Windows XP (SP2)" and click [Next].
5. For the display settings, please click on "Disable Visual Themes" and "Disable desktop composition" then click [Next].
6. Click on "Run this program as an administrator" and click [Next].
7. Click [Next] to start testing the compatibility settings.
This will launch the installer so if you have your firewall enabled, it will prompt for a permission request.
Please grant permission for the setup to continue. 8. The setup will now run.
You can allow it to finish or switch back to the "Program Compatibility Wizard" dialog box.
9. It will ask you if the program ran correctly. Click "Yes..." if no other pop-ups appear.
* Try another compatibility setting if it reports a problem with the display. For the display settings,
enable the option "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" as well.
10. For this next step click "Yes" to send the info to Microsoft and finish the process.
* Now that you have the software installed, you will also have to run the "Program Compatibility Wizard"
for the application to run correctly. Use the same procedure except for step [3],
select "I want to choose from a list of programs". Follow the same procedure for the other steps until you finish the setup.

Most programs designed for Windows XP will run properly in Windows Vista or Windows 7;
occasionally, you will find one that will not. If you're unable to get a program to operate
normally in Windows 7, try running it in Compatibility Mode.
Perform these steps to setup an application
for Compatibility Mode:
Right-click on the program's shortcut or icon on the disk
click "Properties".
Click the "Compatibility" tab.
Check the box titled "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select from the
list the version of Windows the program was designed to work with. If you don't know
what Windows version, select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)"; you can always change it,
if the program does not run with that setting.
Click "OK."
Try running the program again. If you're still unable to use the program, select a different
mode and click other options on the Compatibility tab - i.e., make one change to
a setting, try running the program, make another change, etc., until it runs correctly).

Also, you can run the Program Compatibility
Wizard within Windows Help.
Hope that helps you....
