20 Most Recent Canon PIXMA MP170 All-In-One InkJet Printer - Page 2 Questions & Answers

Are the cartridges in working order. I had similar problem with another make of printer when printer lights kept flashing and one of the cartridges was defective.

Canon MP170 (Ink Tank Full Error):

1 - power off.
2 - hold stop/reset ,hold ON/OFF
3 - release stop/reset, push stop/reset twice, quickly, then release ON/OFF
4 - wait untill LCD display shows "Canon Idle",then push stop/reset four times, quickly
5 - then push power twice, quickly
6 - power off and power on.

primeramente me salio 5100 pero luego paso a 6000 no se lo que puede pasar ya que no se mueven los cartuchos y no hace el reseteo cuando la enciendo y solamente me sale COMPRUEBE IMPRESORA Y SALE 6000 ERROR. en espera me sean indicados los problemas que se puedan subsanar un saludfo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmTJdJTAhYUI am assuming this is a new printer install. You have to go thru the entire printer and remove ALL the shipping tapes. This one was worse than my HP all in one, which had 12 pieces.

Maybe the USB cable was plugged before the driver has been installed : I noticed this advice in my manual.

It's a red triangle (can be other colours alike Gray or white) in a circle. HTH.
