The error 6800 indicates a hardware fault with the machine. When this error displays on your printer it indicates that the machine needs to be sent in for a service. In line with this, we have reviewed the issue you describe with your Canon product and believe that the best course of action would be to take your to the nearest authorised Customer Care Provider who will assess it on behalf of Canon and discuss with you any action that may need to be taken.

If your product is under warranty, you will need to provide proof of purchase to allow the Customer Care Provider to confirm your is with in its warranty period.
For out of warranty repairs, charges will apply and these can be discussed between you and the Customer Care Provider.
