The alarm is on steady and it says printer head not installed install the printer head

On canon printers the head is separate from the ink cartridges. In the manual there should be something there telling you how to replace the head. It is the assembly that the cartridges plug into. If it is not in correct position due to being jostled when cartridges were installed you will get this error message. So make sure that it is clipped on properly. Or you could have a sensor problem that may be cured by installing and uninstalling the head a few times.

How can I reset the waste ink absorber

These canon printers are basically a throw away item. You can remove the absorber and clean it thoroughly which is a very messy job and the reset may still not work. You can go online and get a third part reset procedures, of which most do not work. I know this sounds so negative but I have tried many of these and Canon will NOT give out the rest codes.

Printer won't feed paper through

Clear any loose paper from the paper tray. This will help you locate the jam. You will find it either in front, near the paper tray, or in the back, by opening the rear door. Be sure there is no paper or debris hidden anywhere. Open up the rear door and use a flashlight to explore the inside. If you see any paper, have patience in trying to remove it, now gently pull using a side to side motion. If you use a tool for assistance, like a pair of tweezers, or pair of needle nose pliers, put some tape on the jaws of the pliers to help prevent the shredding of the paper. Another good item to have handy is a can of compressed air. This can be used to blow out any built up dust or fine paper particles that may be embedded inside the printer and the sensors after much use. Reboot your computer Try cleaning the paper sensor and rollers The sensor can be located by opening the front cover where the ink cartridges are. While looking inside just to the right of center manually feed a piece of paper like the printer does automatically. You should see a thin black lever move up and down as you push the paper in and pull it out repeatedly. This is the paper jam sensor. ANY foreign object in the way of this sensor will cause a three orange light flash indicating a paper jam. Very hard to find without a flashlight. Another good idea would be to blow out the printer using a can of compressed air. Clean the two Rollers Lightly dampen your lint-free cloth with water or alcohol. Squeeze it out to ensure that it's not too wet. Hold the cloth in one hand and press it lightly against the first roller. With your other hand, gently rotate the roller until you have cleaned it all the way around. Be extremely careful. Do not use too much pressure. You might have to run it through a few times to remove all of the residue Or Still having Problem Then follow Us For Canon Printer Support

Canon pixma ip6600d paper output tray closed

I know this is an old string but we had the same issue, but we caused it. After replacing the Ink Collector pads we started getting the error that the front door was close please open. What we found was when the tech put the printer back together he broke the front door switch. It is located on the bottom left of the media "block" (where you put the smart card in). To get to it you have to remove the silver outer casing and also remove the top black shell. There is a video on youtube on how to open the black shell. Pretty much four pressure points that have to be removed, too much to post here so watch the video. Once the whole shell was open I was able to get to the switch. Since the switch was broken and I did not have a replacement I ended up soldering the contacts together so that the switch is always open (door is always open).

How do I clean the printer waste ink absorber on

You are looking at an aprox. 75% strip of your printer, the absorber sits at the bottom right had corner of the machine and it is a long drawn out procedure.
There are instructions for replacing and cleaning ink absorbers on You Tube and also instructions for resetting the printer. It is too involved and lengthy to try repeat here. Try looking at:-
