Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. Remove the front cover and it will be on the bottom edge or by the vent opening on smaller units its on the side of the unit.

Freezing up inside

take it apart and clean it out really good make sure all the drain hole are clear because water can build up in it and freeze causing it to sound like ur fan is hitting something

Leaking ac

Hello, if this is a window AC make sure the unit is tilted back in the window about a 1/4 inch. Also, if there is a drain outlet make sure itnis not blocked and not allowing the condensate to flow.
