Why vivitar 5118 memory full message no photos or videos detected
It is likely that your card has failed. Take it out of the camera, put it in a reader and plug that into your computer. See if you can view there and remove the pictures to your computer hard disk. If you can not see them there but the computer recognizes the card you will need to use recover software to get your pictures back. Once you have everything throw away the card and get a new one. Unfortunately cards to eventually fail. :(

I need software for my laptop for a vivicam 5118
You don't need any software.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa

How long does it take for a vivitar Vivicam 5118 to charge fully?
Since the ViviCam 5118 isn't a battery charger, it will take a very, very long time.
The 5118 uses standard AA batteries. If you want to use rechargeable batteries then you much charge them outside the camera using a separate battery charger. Connecting it to a computer through the USB port will drain the batteries even faster, since the camera has to expend power communicating with the camera (even if only to say it has nothing to say).

I have a Vivitar mini digital camera but no CD to load software. Where can I get software download?
Mostly additional software isn't needed as digital cameras invariably capture and store images in jpeg format that can be downloaded, viewed and stored on any Windows computer and probably most other types.
Connect the camera to a usb port and switch on and the computer should recognise it and provide an onscreen menu. Once connected one of my cameras produces an onscreen menu where I have to select "connect to pc".
An alternative to the above is to remove the memory card from the camera and use a card reader to access the pictures.
The cd supplied with a digital camera is usually photo processing software, the like of which can be downloaded free from many online sources.

Insert Batteries Where on Vivitar VimiCam X014N?
Do you mean the Vivitar ViviCam X014N? If so, the battery compartment is on the right hand side as you look back of the camera with the view screen and menu buttons. The cover on the battery compartment will rotate up from the bottom of the camera when opened. This is shown in the manual although it isn't completely clear. The current link to the manual for the ViviCam X014 is http://www.vivitar.com/files_products/445/ViviCam_X014_Camera_Manual.pdf
. See pages 3-4 for the pictures of the battery compartment location. Note: the N suffix refers to the case color. The manual applies to any ViviCam X014.
I hope this helps.
