Maytag 24 in. MDB4100 Built-in Dishwasher Questions & Answers
I would like to know how to pull my dishwasher out to check for lose hoses
Do you mean the screws that hold the brackets to the countertop? if so there are usually two, and they can be removed with a screwdriver, most of the time they use a Phillip's screw. A maybe easier way than removing the machine, is to remove the kick plate at the bottom, again with two screws removed you can use a flashlight to inspect the hoses from underneath.

Hi,
Thank you for contacting fixya.com.
Check
the drain hose drain hose connectors, filter system inside dishwasher, for
kinks and or restrictions.Even a small piece of plastic can flip/flop back in
forth and stop the water from draining. check the sump area for paper or any
other large object. Take off the white nut that is above the fine filter,
remove the fine filter. Then the hub that has the spray tube attached to it,
turn it to the right a bit and pull off that tube that runs up the back wall.
Pull off the plastic screen and there is your sump. The sump that the screen
clipped to, squeeze that and pull up, and clean it. Now stick your hand down in
the sump, and pull out whatever it is that is clogging the drain hole.
Also make sure the door is properly latched. The pump will not drain if the
door is not latched properly. Check the belt, drain line, air gap, drain valve
and solenoid assembly, the motor, and the pump. If your dishwasher uses a belt
to drive the pump, and it has broken or come off the pulley, replace it.
Please
get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

My dishwasher is brand new but it wont drain? help
Hi and welcome to Fixya,
When installing the unit was the dtain hose by chance connected to a disposer/garberator ?
If yes, then I'd start by checking the drain spout of the disposer where you connected the drain hose from the dishwasher and make sure you knocked out the plug in the spout.
**Turn off the power or unplug the disposer/garberator before performing any service**
If the plug is not punched out, with the aid of a long screw driver and a hammer, or a firm smack with the palm of your hand you should be able to knock out the plug.
Now reach in the disposer and remove the plug you`ve just knocked out, reconnect the drain hose for your dishwasher and you should be good to go.
Let me know what you find and how it goes.
Thank you for visiting FixYa. Please take a moment to rate the solution provided here for you. Hope that help`s.
Good luck.

When the water should be filling or rinsing the
Hi,
If the noise lasts beyond 2 minutes at a time (which it sounds like it does) then you have a motor problem.
I am suspecting that the main seal has leaked onto the motor and is causing water to get into the motor.
Do not use the machine anymore until to you check under the dishwasher.
-Remove the power by turning off the breaker or unplugging the power cord if accessible.
-Remove the screws holding the lower kick panel on and remove that panel
-Look for signs of water on the floor
If you see water stains or water then you need a new pump and motor.
If not let me know and we can go from there
