I have 810 bu mother board
your board is compatible with pentium 3 processors through the "coppermine" revision, the pentium 3 "tulatin is not supported" here is a list from wikipedia of the "coppermine" processors supported by your board.:
- 100 MHz FSB: 500, 550, 600, 650, 700, 750, 800, 850, 900, 1000, 1100 MHz (E-Models)
- 133 MHz FSB: 533, 600, 667, 733, 800, 866, 933, 1000, 1133 MHz (EB-Models)
Coppermine-T (the only coppermines with an attached heatsink)
- 133 MHz FSB: 800, 866, 933, 1000, 1133 MHz
The Tulatin core is NOT compatible with intel 810 boards, and they can be easily confused with the coppermine-t's because they also have attached heatsinks.
Motherboard is dead
remove the RAM. boot minimal only (floppy). get to BIOS screen. reset to factory default. try again with boot floppy. if ok, re-install RAM and repeat
Ram gets detected only to half of the value specified
your ram 256 but i think your ram memory shared with disply memory so . first restart your system and press DEL key untill u enter in bios setup.then go tothe advanced option and disable graphic memory then save settings and restart pc . your problem is solved.
Unfortunately if you can't get in the bios, no beeps and assuming the memory is compatable with the motherboard, then the bios chip is damaged and there is no way forward apart from another board.
ok, a checksum error can refer to a flat cr2032 cmos battery, especially if the time is wrong at every boot.
My motherboard BIOS is not starting
look for the CLRCMOS or CLR or JBAT1 terminals.
These are the cmos settings and may need to be cleared, so refer to your motherboard manual for which one you have.
Although what has probably happened is that when the PSU blew it may well have shorted the cmos chip which cannot be repaired, or damaged the graphics.
Mp4 player not working
Check your MP4 player's system requirements.
Some MP4 players are only capable of working with certain
operating systems and hardware, so refer to your player's documentation to
ensure it is capable of functioning with your PC.
Change the USB port your MP4 player is connected to if you
have confirmed your PC can function with your MP4 player.
Disconnect other USB devices, and try connecting your player
to another USB port if you are still having problems.
Try restarting your PC if it is capable of working with
your MP4 player.
Restarting your PC resets non-functioning USB ports, which
may be your problem.
Make sure your USB cable is connected properly.
If your player requires you to install drivers, make sure
you install them.
Try connecting your player to another PC to see if the new
PC recognizes it.
If it does, chances are your computer does not support the
hardware necessary to run your player.
Reset your MP4 player if your PC is still unable to
Resetting your player varies depending on the manufacturer
and model, so refer to your player's documentation.
Contact your player's manufacturer if you are still unable
to get it to work with your PC.
