Easy Share P850 lost eyecup
According to Kodak, the rubber eyepiece is not available for purchase, you have to send it to them to get it fixed...I would try to take it to a local camera repair shop and let them do it.
Won't read card. tried everything. what's wrong
Since you did not give much info, let us try.
Make sure you have the correct card for the camera you have.
This camera Kodak Easyshare P850 requires the following memory card. MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital (SD) Card.
Since this camera is a few years old 5.1 mpxl, it may have a limit on the size of cd card you can use. If you are using a large card, go to a smaller card and see what happens, for instance a 512 meg. card.
This camera may have an upgrade for the firmware, and may make it work better. You have to check the Kodak site for such upgrades and info on how to install the upgrade to the firmware.
If upgrades for the firmware is available, it will improve some of the features on the camera. Always worth the time to check.
Hope it works.
My easy share software will check for duplicates
Your camera is creating new folders and not continuing the number sequence resulting in duplicate numbers on different pictures. You need to use a card reader to download pictures to a folder you create on your desktop. Open the folder and examine the pictures. If you find different pictures but with the same numbers, you will need to manually rename them.
My kodak easyshare c813 camera but it wont turn on
Your problem is likely due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera
which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the
camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with
a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush,
steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen
into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of
the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears
the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your camera may have
a problem that requires professional repair.
On/off
If you have recently dropped the camera you may have damaged the lens
tube (housing). This damage will prevent the lens from moving properly
and will cause the camera to shut itself off after a few seconds. If
the lens is damaged the camera will require professional repair. If
the lens is not damaged, the problem may be battery related. Make sure
that
you have the correct battery type installed, and that the batteries are
fresh/fully charged. If the problem persists, you may have corrosion
on the battery contacts inside that camera that is preventing full
battery power from flowing to the camera. Remove the batteries and
wipe the inside camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy
corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sand
paper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery
compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and
reinstall them in the camera. This cleaning solves the problem about
90% of the time, and I hope it works for you.
Have the 850...2 good batteries
Fixing your problem could be as simple as cleaning the battery contacts
in the camera, or the solution could be a lot more complex and
expensive. Here's a link to the Kodak Help Center - it provides a
simple Q&A format to diagnose the problem and propose a solution.
