Wrong driver/ needs update Lexmark X5270

Before you download the drivers for your Printer, Determine which Operating system are you using 32/64 bit system, printer drivers are specific to the type of system you are using
1. Choose Product Model: e.g Lexmark X5270
2. Choose an Operating system plat form e.g windows/Vista
3. Choose Operating system version 32bit or 64bit
4. Choose language
5. Under Product software choose drivers
6. Under Drivers select/double click Drivers for windows Vista ( if yours is 32bit) or choose windows vista X64 bit if 64bit windows vista

Run win8.1 but lexmark driver update for x3470 printer but driver update rejects

That's because the driver in the printer has not been updated by the company so you have to either wait or you can buy a new a new printer

There are many opensource drivers available that get the printer running without having to find a proprietary driver from the manufacturer. Have a look at http://www.openprinting.org/printers - the site should tel you what the best driver for your printer is and where to get it.
