I have the same problem

Go to the Lexmark website and look up drivers and choose the one for your printer and operating system. You'll find it there.

With the Lexmark printers communication subsystem you MUST let the driver ask for you to plug in the printer. DO NOT plug the printer into the USB port until told to do so.

To fix a fouled install:
(1) Uninstall the Lexmark drivers in Add Remove Programs
(2) Shutdown the computer
(3) Disconnect the printer from the USB port
(4) Restart the computer
(5) Run the Driver Installation software
(6) Cancel ALL attempts by windows to auto install the printer
(7) When the software asks for the printer connect it and continue

You do not say what problem you are having.

Before you plug in your Lexmark, you run the CD first and install drivers for Vista.

Usually with Lexmark the drivers come bundled with all the software that was on the CD.

Hi there!

1. You can go to the Lexmark site and download it from there.

2. Go under support / download

3. Find your model

4. Specify what type of windows you have, XP VISTA etc.

5. Download

6 Install

If no luck from the Lexmark site feel free to try www.driverguide.com where you should be able to find the driver if its a "rare" one. But i PREFER Lexmark site.

screen shows ink but many of the times if the cartridges are dried up it will print blank pages.clean the cartridge head clogging manually and then try.otherwise replace the cartridges.

nothing to worry u can use 510drivers .it has all common drivers of 500 series till date.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some printer does not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver download for Vista on your model page, that means your model is not Vista compatible.

This is a lexmark x4200? How long have you owned the printer? What is the exact error message you are receiving and how long have you been having this issue? Once I have more information I can assist you further.

lexmark inkjeet z517 photo printer

I HAVE THE SAME, I JUST GO TO WALMART THEY CARRY BOTH CARTRIDGES, ALSO THE REFILL KITS WHICH IS A MUST!

Threw it in the garbage and ordered another, just saved the ink cartridges.
