This model printer does not have a network connection therefore to print via wireless from the laptop, the printer needs to be connected to a computer and setup as a shared printer. This computer must be connected to the wireless router with a LAN cable.

According to the manufacturers this printer is not compatible with Windows 7

however recently they have updated the windows vista driver to also work with windows 7

Please click on the link below and choose windows vista 32 or vista 64 based on the version you have and download the driver you need.

Please turn off your printer / remove the usb cable uninstall / remove the old driver file and then install the downloaded new driver connect the printer when it is specified to do so and enjoy using your old printer with windows 7. :)

Please follow the steps given below to check wheather the error correction is turned off.

You need to disable "Error Correction," please follow the steps given below:
1. Press "Fax Mode."
2. Press "Menu."
3. Press "Up" or "Down" Arrow button repeatedly until "Ringing and Answering" is highlighted.
4. Press "Select."
5. Press "Up" or "Down" Arrow button repeatedly "Error Correction" is highlighted.
6. Press "Right arrow" or "Left arrow" button until "OFF" appears.
7. Press "Select."

Try launching the scan from the computer. You may not have the monitor program running properly or you may need to reinstall the full feature software from http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=recommendedDownloads&locale=EN&productCode=LEXMARK_X7350&segment=DOWNLOAD&userlocale=EN_US#1 (select your OS). Uninstall and then reinstall; this will cure problems with the driver/software missing dlls.

Try a new data cable and a different port. Try a direct connection if you use a USB hub or print server. (Two-way communication is needed for the scanner to work.)

You can create a ZIP file with all your scanned documents and e-mail the ZIP file instead. Scan your documents, select all the scanned images at once. Right click and select "compress and e-mail"

If you try to operate the scanner or the printer while a scan is in progress, then this error is normal. The error also occurs when you try using two different applications to operate the scanner.

If no software is accessing the scanner, and the scanner is not busy, reinstall the printer software.
The software can be installed using the CD provided with the printer or downloading a driver online (see:How to install a Lexmark printer).

Before reinstalling software also test using a different USB cable, sometimes a defective USB cable can give you communication errors of this kind.

There are Lexmark X7350 drivers available for download in the Lexmark website. But I recommend not to plug the printer to your computer yet. Download the driver first. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/9zceAX. Choose the correct driver compatible with your computer's operating system. Then download and install. Follow the instructions on the software. 1st You download Printer Driver. Lexmark Printer Driver After this install the Printer driver in the system.
Installation of Printer Driver

• Go to the control panel
• Click on the System Icon
• Click on the Hardware Tab
• Click on the Device Manager then
• Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
• Right click on it and uninstall it.
• After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
• Driver installation Wizard start.
• Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
• Driver will be install.

Before downloading, if your using Vista or Windows 7, check if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going to Start Menu > right click on Computer > Properties. There are no special setup steps to take with the Majic Jack, however there are a few different ways that you can setup your fax printer and the jack. Many of my clients have been able to use their fax machines as is. Some have installed splitters giving you one line to the jack and one to the fax machine. There have been a few fax printers that we had to tweak by turning the error correction of and limiting the speed of the fax reception down to the slowest speed possible. We then increased the speed until we started receiving errors.
I would recommend trying the basic splitter first. That seems to be the easiest way to get both working. An important thing to remember about this setup is that Majic Jack does not support fax in any way, shape, or form. The store that sells you the Majic Jack might give you some help, or if need be you can always come back here. I hope this helps.

To scan more than one page at a time you can use ADF.
The Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) can scan multiple pages, including duplex pages. When using the ADF:
* Load the document into the ADF faceup, short edge first.
* Load up to 50 sheets of plain paper into the ADF input tray.
*Scan sizes from 148 x 210 mm (5.8 x 8.3 in.) to 215.9 to 355.6mm (8.5 x 14 in.).
* Scan documents with mixed page sizes (letter and legal).
*Scan media weights from 52 to 120 g/m2 (14 to 32 lb ).
* Do not load post cards, photos, small items, transparency, photo paper or the thin media (such as magazine clippings) into the ADF. Place these items on the scanner glass.
