I suggest that you download the driver and therefore have no need for a disk. (Windows 7 will automatically find the X7350 and install the driver) For Windows 2000, NT, and XP click on the following link and start you download. Lexmark Drivers for Model X7350

Try to print a BLANK paper till the rollers are clean, other than that you might need to take it to a Lexmark Certified Repair Shop.

Once the Lexmark cartridge is refilled, it can no longer report it's ink level. ). You should be aware that a refilled cartridge will not be able to report its ink level, and you might not get the print quality you expect from ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark to pass through microscopic nozzles at extremely high temperatures.

Will the printer print if you make a copy using the Copy button on the operator panel? Maybe the cartridges needs to be cleaned. Press Copy Mode. Press -> Press or repeatedly until appears next to Maintenance. Press -> Press or repeatedly until appears next to Clean Cartridges. -> Press A page prints, forcing ink through the print cartridge nozzles to clean them. -> Print the document again to verify that the print quality has improved..

Have you checked if the SHIPPING LOCKING mechanisme is in place, if so remove it...

Z23 printers only support up to Windows 2000 according to Lexmark.

Sometimes you can plug unsupported printers into Windows 7 and get limited functionality, but given the age of the Z23 series, you'll probably need to get a new printer for a Windows 7 machine.

take it back to the store and get a trained technician to physically align the printer heads or get a swap out for a new machine assuming its under warrenty

You need to first Uninstall your current printer driver.

Disconnect the USB cable from your printer.

Locate the Start / Programs / Lexmark XXXX Series / Tools / Uninstall Lexmark XXXX Series shortcut.

To start the Uninstall procedure click on the Yes button.

Please be patient and let the operation complete.

As indicated on the last screen, restart the computer by clicking Ok.

For many Lexmark products the Vista driver will work in Windows 7; the Vista driver for your printer is compatible with both the X5470 and the X7350.

1) remove the cartridge and check it is not leaking. If it is, the printhead area on cart will be flooded with ink. Removing couple of ml from cart will stop it leaking.
2) If the cart looks clean (not leaking), stamp the printhead on some folded tissue paper or paper towell. It should leave a solid black stripe about 10mm long on the tissue. If it doesn't, your refill ink hasn't quite reached the printhead. You can blow little air into the breather hole (on top) to prime the printhead. Stop blowing when ink starts leaking at the printhead.
Clean the cartridge up before installing it.
3) If all above is ok and it still doesn't align properly, repeat above steps with the colour cartridge. The printer needs all colours working to perform the alignment process.
