Might I suggest checking out this site, http://www.ps3chat.com/playstation-3-online/1351-routers-ps3.html . I think that the Linksys router is having issues keeping the connection alive on your PS3. You should also consider setting a static IP.
Configuring linksys router
Mantoo,
Try resetting the router by depressing and holding the reset button on the back for about 15 seconds. It might be that options were set and by resetting the router it puts it back to factory default settings.
Also, ensure you have the cable from the computer plugged into the correct port for the router. It should not be in the "uplink" portion of the router as this is intended for another router. To be safe, looking at a picture of your router, you'd want to use the "2" port and ensure the cable from your modem is going into the "WAN" port.
Router problem

First who is your service provider?
Can you connect to the internet if you directly hook your modem to your computer.
1>If so connect your Modem to your router on the colour code slot on the router which says modem
2>Connect a cable from the router to your computer
3>The lan light on the router should be turned on
4>Check wether your lan says connected . To check that click start-> control pannel -> network connections
5>If it says connected try internet explorer settings
6>If it says limited or no connectivity
Click start ->run -> cmd->ipconfig
7>It should say ip address as : 169.254.x.x.
8>If so type ipconfig/release
9>It shoul say ip address: 0.0.0.0
10>Type ipconfig/renew on command promt
12>Disable and enable lan

192.168.1.1 the default IP Address of my router is not working.
easier to configure if direclty connected using ethernet cable not through wireless laptop or anything wireless.
type in exactly in address bar 192.168.1.1 nothing else(no http or www.) and hit enter. if this doesnt work try to hold the little button near power plug on router for about 10 seconds to reset it and try once again. If it works when you type in the 192.168.1.1 and hit enter you will be prompted for password. user is always linksys and the password by default is admin. then hit enter. now you should be in configuration pages.
