I have had crazy things happen when the batteries start to become weak. I would start with fresh batteries and go from there.
Before installing windows 7 my Logitech S510
I am sure when you have installed Windows 7 you have not updated all drivers of your computer.
You will need to install new Drivers for Logitech s510 keyboard those are compatible with windows 7.
Also, install new drivers for Windows 7 for all the components those you have otherwise sooner or later you will face the same issue for each of your hardware.

That's a bit iffy. Have you spilled anything on the keyboard? It sounds like the key is a little sticky. I'd replace it personally, but if your so inclined, try popping the key off and use a q-tip with some rubbing alcohol to clean it up a bit. Then pop the key back on.
Usually you can pretty easily pop a key off a keyboard, although they all vary. I reccomend using a thin piece of flat rigid plastic to do it (the MacGuyver method would be something like the corner of a plastic putty knife - it's amazing how much tension they can put on a key without damaging it), a srewdriver tends to gouge the key and cause different sticking problems. Of course you do that at your own risk, some keyboards have retaining clips on the keys (especially low-profile and laptop keyboards). You alway run the risk of not being able to get the key to snap back on, or on some models the key comes off and a little spring goes flying and you never find it again. But again, that's up to you. The worst that can happen is you need to get a new keyboard.

Make sure that the switch is turned ON after replacing the battery. If
it's ON, try holding down the connect button on the USB receiver
(that's connected to the computer) and then hold down the connect
button underneath the mouse AT THE SAME TIME for 5 seconds and release
them both.
If same problem occurs, make sure that there are no possible wireless
interference near the mouse. Example, base of a cordless phone or a
mobile phones. These devices' signal might interfere with the wireless
signal of your mouse.
Thank you!

Release them and wait for a few seconds. Repeat the same steps for the mouse.
When I have connection issue with this keyboard after new batteries, I have found most of the time the problem is the connection to the pc and/or batteries in wrong. Good Luck

Keyboard not detected
There are some steps to figure out what is causing this.
If you have a desktop:
1. Replace with another keyboard that you know works.
If it boots, than it is the keyboard that was bad
2. If it doesn't - try getting into bios. There is a secion for
keyboard and make sure it is enabled.
3. If it is enabled, than it would be the port for the keyboard that
is the problem. You can take the computer apart an replace
it, or take it to someone who can fix.
If you have a laptop:
1. Add a keyboard to the computer.
2. If it boots, than it is the keyboard on the laptop. This could
mean it is not connected, you have the wrong drivers, or
try getting into BIOS like #2 above.
3. If the keyboard is enabled in the BIOS, reinstall drivers
first. If this doesn't work than there is something wrong with
keyboard (follow #3 above).
(BIOS - when computer boots up, look closely. There is a button you must press to get into setup mode (BIOS). I press F2 on my computer to enter BIOS. Some computers are different).
