Logitech Z-5450 Computer Speakers - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Unit shuts off shortly after I power up
There is an internal disconnect after the unit heats up due to an open resistor, capacitor, diode, or small fracture on the circuit board. The cost of repair is greater than the replacement cost, therefore if it is under warranty get a new one, or pay to have the current device repaired by a technciain.
My right rear does not work and i have test
mcdevito75 here, There should be a volume control on either the left or right speaker, maybe both, check the volume control on both speakers. also the connections to your computer.
Logitech Z-5450 5.1 surround sound speakers - no sound from rear right only
Unfortunately I have the same problem. As an electronic engineer I suspect that the power supply part of the unit is damaged. I opened up the module (don' t try it, its a little bit tricky since there is a type of glue around the silver bezel, after you remove the 4 screws from the front holes) and did some quick static measurements with a multimeter, so far no luck. Since I am still in warranty I will try to replace the item. Hint: protect your electronic equipment with ups or surge protection devices.
What's the best way to hook up the Logitech Z-5450?
I would say directly from player to tv to cut out as much resistance in the line as possible routing it through anything is just more wires to worry about and quality will be same or un noticeable
Leave me feedback please
