I have a logitech quickcam v11.7 and it went blurry what can i do

On all webcams and also on other cams you have a ring around the lens. This ring is meant to focus the camera on to the object. start the webcam and rotate the ring. Clockwise and anticlockwise. Whichever direction get you to a focussed image, stop there.

Logitech QuickCam Chat webcam

Web Camera's have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/ )
set it up as follows:
Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Then click on the Video Settings.
The camera, if Installed Properly, it will come up and show a video picture.
Then, on the bottom of the page click save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and hear you.

B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger (http://www.soft32.com/download_30.HTML )
set it up as follows:
Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
Next "Calling and Devices" on the right, set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card or headphones/mike.
Next go to the Test Audio section below where you just setup the microphone & speaker and (written in blue) click on "Open the call setup assistant"
and the "Yahoo Call Setup Assistant" window will open to the left and follow the the instructions. Click on FINISH and the audio will be setup.
Next go to "Webcam" and click in the circle "Allways allow the following people to view my webcam.
Next Click on "Super Webcam" snd in the circle click "Start Super Webcam mode automatically".
Then click OK and it should work.

C. Windows Live Messenger:

After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.
Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on " "Show Menus." And then click on "Show the Menu Bar".
Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on " "Action."
Go to "TOOLS" and click "Audio and Video Setting" and follow the instructions.
NOTE: Your audio and video should work. Enjoy.
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.

D. AIM (AOL) Messenger:
http://dashboard.aim.com/aim
On the VIM sign-in window, click on Edit.
Then click on Settings Enhanced IM.
Next click on Enhanced IM.
Then click on Audio Video.
The Audio and Video portion has drop downs so you can select the proper audio card and video camera installed in you computer.
The Audi Video drop downs are
Microphone
Speaker
Camera
The audio and camera should function now.
Additional information to use with VIM settings.

Quick cam failure

After you get your camera installed properly, DO NOT unplug it from the USB port as it will cause the drivers to be corrupt and render the camera unusable till reinstalled it properly.

Follow the instructions below and it will work.

Disconnect the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program.

When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.

Then to use it on the Web, do this.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

Try this link and download version 11.5 onto your hard drive, by installing from hard drive the invalid drive should be bypassed.

Install the software before attaching web cam.

Logitech quickcam chat software install problem

Sometimes the drives are mapped, especially in a network situation.

This will tell you if your drives,folders,etc. are mapped.

left click on START, right click on MY COMPUTER, left click on EXPLORE, left click on TOOLS tab, left click on DISCONNECT NETWORK DRIVE.

It keeps sayin my webcam is in use but its not

Normal 0 This ptogram will eliminate your problem of the camera being busy or being used by another program. Really works great.

Double click on this site http://download.cnet.com/SplitCam/3000-2348_4-10500269.html
And then click on Download Now (3.5MB)

  1. Install Splitcam saying yes to everything during installation including the any warnings.

    2. Then run the Splitcam program by double clicking the downloaded program.

    3. Clicked on "Video" at the bottom right of the program window and selected your cmera.

Note: This will result in your camera being switched on and viewable in the
SplitCam program.

4. Opened up Skype (or other messengers) and go to "Tools" then "Options" then "Video settings."

5. Also setup your “Audio” while you are there.

6. Selected "SplitCam Capture" as my webcam, then click on save.

7. Webcam image will appeared in Skype or what ever messenger you are using.

Trying to connect

if you are using a Yahoo, MSN messanger or a Skype, you have to invite them to view your webcam or do videoconferencing with the other end.

Hope this initial info helps.

go to u torrent .com down load that driver first then when your done with that go to isohunt.com and look up your driver when you find it download that it will be downloading in the utorrent program at that point when its done downloading highlite the downloading file and when its complete go to the complete section make sure its highlited and hit the stop button its all free to the public from what i know hope this helps
