The most common way to factory reset an android device is these method. 1. turn off your device 2. Press the your Volume up button and power button at the same time for a period of time 3. you will see the android image appear on the screen after that you will see some options 4. Choose the WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET by moving your selection using the Volume buttons 5. Select it using the Power Button Then wait for it to finish the resetting process.

If it's an android device... 1. Enter wrong pattern 5 times and wait for 30 seconds. 2. Select "Forgot pattern" and enter your email account username and password. 3. Make sure you use the same account that was used to activate the device and double check the password by logging in to that email account in a browser. 4. If you don't have access to the original email account, you will need to do a hard reset and loose your settings and apps on the devcice. The data on the memory card will not be wiped though.
