please try to clean the mouth of the PCI slot by wiping with a white paper..... re fix it, power the machine and allow the hardware to be detected... you can now try installing the driver software ....
I don't believe that will work.
You must have an shielded cable to clear the interference.
That is a lot more expensive, I would take the easy way and locate the CAT6 cable away from the electric fence.

Lucky I'm reading British and Scottish ebooks and thought the "language" sounded familiar.* What is a USB Dongle? ; https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Adapter-Wireless-Keyboard-Support/dp/B076FP4KQD* Multiple USB Hub; https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=usb+port * Thank you for the question. It was fun!Aloha, ukeboy57Update, Okay Gave it another look. I'm guessing you have a "Parallel Dongle" Meaning it plugs into the old style parallel printer port. Then the "box" is a transmitter/receiver for 3G or other wireless device. * For some reason the laptop you rec is also somewhat old and does not connect directly to wifi or other broad band network. Hence the need for the "Dongle".* Okay, really the easiest would be to get the latest (or last years model at discount) laptop. I'm using 2017 Lenovo ideapad 110s for $110 US* But if you still want to use what you have then you need the following addapter cable. Though I note it only comes with a male USB plug. I'm guessing it connects the plug or socket needs to match up with the devices you are trying to connect. Be sure you check the correct plug and pin connection, male or female (input or output). And also on the USB side as I'm not quite sure what your trying to connect to.* Brand and model would help here.* Check link below to search out the exact plug you need. Use amazon.com chat line to find out if you have the right plug.https://www.amazon.com* I've also added an adapter video similar to what you are trying to accomplish. But I suspect they have problems to with getting updated software for these older devices.* OKAY! Final answer; Your trying to connect a USB port to a Parallel PRINTER. I can tell you from experience that even if you can find an adapter it still won't work. I Just bought the Lenovo laptop as my USB Epson printer (10 years old) won't work with windows anymore. They stopped supporting the old printers with the newer upgrades. Any printer say 2005 or older won't work anymore. If your still using a parallel (ribbon pin head?) then it won't work without special software patches. I believe there are still companies using "Pinhead" ribbon printers for multi-carbonless-forms or multi-sheet-invoices. If so then the IT manager of the system needs to get with the software developer to write a software patch to allow older "serial" printers to operate on the newer platform. (you really need to call in an expert to solve this. You may need to re-vamp your forms for lazer or toner copy/fax/printer)

If you are in the middle of a contract, then cutting your wages is almost certainly a violation of your employment law rights. While I am by no means an expert on this matter, I did have a similar issue years ago - mid-contract wage cuts - and I hired anemployment attorney to fight the case on my behalf. It turned out that my employer was basically looking to scare people into taking the wage cut.
They got into some pretty serious legal trouble for their transgression, and nothing happened to me in terms of wage cuts after that. If you are between contracts, your employer can re-negotiate your salary, but as far as I am aware, if you are in an agreed-upon contract, they cannot just decide to reduce your salary. If you want to settle matters, contest this action with support from a legal professional.
