Check your water supply line its ether plugged or has a kink in it

Check the bottom fridge door hinge. There should be two plastic cams, one that mounts to the door and one that mounts to the hinge. From your discription it sounds as if thoes cams have broke and need to be replaced

I have no idea what the tech was thinking! What would a water filter have to do with the unit shutting down?! From what you have described, I would say the ADC is getting stuck in the defrost model. Replace the ADC and you should be good to go. Here is the part to order.Keep me posted and throw that techs number in the garbage!

The defrost thermostat is failing on these machines as well as the adaptive defrost control.
The compressor start relay is on recall from Maytag also.

You would be looking at a faulty defrost timer. Which will be a little black box on the back bottom of the fridge. But if the fridge has a digital display they now integrate the timer into the control board which will need to be replaced for the defrost to work. I would contact the manufacturer for parts, that's the best resource Good luck

To unlock the indoor ice and water dispenser push the button with the key image 3 times within 10 seconds and it should be unlocked...if later on ya want to lock it again also push that button 3 times within 10 seconds.
