You need the install disk to set it up , as it installs you will be asked connect with USB or Wireless select wireless and follow instructions . If you have lost the disk you may be able to download one at the brother web site .

You need to disassemble case to access the cooling fan inside. Get a replacement fan from Brother. If desperate.,peel off the fan label and oil (using sewing machine oil) the fan spindle bush or bearings. Reassemble.

The manual mentions two covers, one being the fuser cover on the back.. make sure both are closed. It reads to me that the toner isn't inserted correctly. You might look closer at how it's installed.
