Samsung side-by-side RS2545SH with several problems, possibly related

never buy a samsung appliance because you can not repair them. the company would like for you to buy a new one . my fridge the rs265labp freezes up in the fridge section and i have to take it apart once a month to defrost it. but i did find that if you keep a couple of boxes of baking soda in it and replace them often it helps to make the time between defrosting longer. hope this helps someone. i hope that samsung either goes out of business or straightens up

Leaking Samsung Fridge

Unfortunately a lot of Manufacturers like to cut corners when you have a refrigerator like that like the type that we had as well they don't come with trays to catch the condensing water it just doesn't happen dude so unfortunately you know you kind of got to make something yourself but that's the only advice I can give you but I hope it solves your problem it's not just peeing for no reason

Samsung Model No.RS2533SW Refrigerator

The evap coil freezing up is likely due to the defrost cycle not working. The little defrost t-stat looks like a little disc with wires coming out of epoxy. If that is swollen or the expoxy is popped up at all it's bad. You can check it for continuity if you have a multimeter. The next thing would be the defrost timer itself that is bad, the last and least likely item to fail is the heating element itself, you can also check it for the proper ohm value to make sure it's OK. http://www.partselect.com/Schematics/Maytag/SS50-8.gif

Samsung RS267LABP Side by side refrigerator

Not sure if you have one or two problems, so need to be systematic. From what you say it seems you have a defrost heater problem. Here is how I would start: - Get a service manual for your fridge. - Make sure you are not running the fridge in "sales" mode - Run a self test of the unit (as described in the manual). - Based on results, unplug the fridge and remove cover of the electronic compartment - Remove the connector of the heater units. - Measure the resistance of each heater to see if they are all good. - If this is the case re-plug the connector and plug the fridge - Using "force mode" described in the manual turn the heaters on and measure voltage on the respective connector.... this will tell you if board and built-in relays are good. This should give you a good start of where the problem is. Note than when in force mode you can also force the compressor to run in different modes and measure the related voltages. If the above does not get any hint, then moce your troubleshooting that way. Good luck!

does the freezer side freeze up also? i suspect if unit uses electronic sensors probably the thermostat sensors in the refrigerator section is defective. possibly there can be a thermostat board also you probably have to check diagrams.

Samsung rs2533sw fridge not cooling

soiunds like the coil on the refrigerator side is iced up.take and open the refrfigerator side and take a blow drier and after removing the 11 screws use the hair drier to slowly melt the icec behind the cover. If you pull too hard and or too soon you'll break the stryofoam ductin that has to be around the coil. then make sure that the drain line is clear reassemble and have a Merry Christmas!
