Samsung SC-D365 Mini DV Digital Camcorder Questions & Answers
How do you close the
If it is like my Samsung Mini-DV, it will go in by itself if you close the top part as if you had just put a tape in. There is an outer door, then a kind of drawer that slides out on its own power, then the tape compartment pops up. If you are putting a tape in, you then push that pop-up part down into the powered drawer. It's like pinching the two halves together. You can do the same thing without the tape. There will be a pause, then the powered drawer will go back into the camera and you close the outer door by hand.
Possibly your model is different.
Ejects Tape after high pitched noise
Hi friends. (Excuse my poor English). Well, i bought a SCD364 Samsung CamCoder that is physically and mechanically exactly as scd363. My scd364 also have the same problem. Because the warranty has expired, i discovered a solution.
The problem ocurs due to a missing calibrati?n at tape motion mechanism then when the cam goes heat, the motor grazes with another part of the mechanism that this located very near (wax)causing a metallic noise, eating the battery and, finally the blinking "D" eject signal.
I amazing when discovered that the solution is to open the tape compartment and place the opened camera infront of the air conditioning machine by 2 minutes in order to cool it.
Once cold, the camera is ready to play or record again without noise and blinking "D".

How do I get my videos from tape to my PC?
Check what kind of interface that your camera have, these are the possiblities:
Hardware powwibilities:
1. i-link or firewire or IEEE-1394: all three are the same depending on the brand. This is the common woth DV cameras. If you have this, you have to have the same interface in your
PC. You have to install an interface card.
2. USB 2.0- it has to be 2.0, ver 1.1 is slow and will not be capable of hi res transfer. If you have this, your PC should have this interface as well.
3. Analog AV- Here you have to buy a video capture card, it may be via USB or PCI slot.
In any of the setup you will be needing a video authoring software. There are a lot available in the net and it is also free when you buy a video capure card or module.
After you capture the video, you have to burn it in the DVD, you can use Nero.
