No sound from external speakers,unable

The way it works is that simply plugging in headphones or earbuds in the front, automatically cuts out the external speakers attached in the back on a computer. But I am a bit confused because it is under Sansa MP3 player? And an MP3 player usually only has one output?

Do I need to perform a special set up procedure

Not particularly. Just create a folder named "MUSIC" on the card and copy any desired audio files to it. Bear in mind that the Sansa will only play photos and videos from its own memory and not from the card.

My sansa mp3 screen has frozen

If your Sansa becomes frozen or unresponsive, you may need to reset the unit. To do so, simply slide and hold the Power button on the side of the unit. Hold it for about 10 seconds and the player should reset.

I have a sansa mp3 player and i put music on it

This may be caused by one of the following:
1. Minimum system requirements were not met.
2. Corrupted drivers.
3. Computer restrictions.
4. Power issue.
To resolve this issue, try the following solutions:

SOLUTION 1 - For brand new player or first time connecting to this computer.

For Windows XP users: verify the following operating system requirements are met.
- Windows XP SP2 or higher
- Windows Media Player 10 or higher

Download and install the latest Windows Media Player if it's not installed.

For Windows Vista users: If the player is seen in My Computer when using MTP mode, but not showing in Windows Media Player.
- Download the hotfix from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939211.
- Run the hotfix.

For MAC users, see Sansa player not recognized by a MAC OS

NOTE: If you are trying to connectto a Computer at work that is part of a network, there may be userright restrictions that are set to disable access to new hardware orstop any program installations. You may need to check with your ITadministrator to see if this is causing the problem.

SOLUTION 2 - Refresh the driver

STEP 1 - Connect the Sansa player to the PC
The screen on your player should turn on, show 'Connected' and indicate the battery charging or full.
- If the player does not turn on try other USB ports or on anothercomputer if one is readily available. Ensure you are connectingdirectly to the computer USB port and not to a USB hub.
- If there is nothing showing on the screen and the player does show upin as a storage device in an explorer window, then the screen is justnot working.

If you receive the error "USB Device Not Recognized" on the computer, the player is most likely failed. Additional troubleshooting is unlikely to correct the problem.

id10_not-detected.gif
.

STEP 2 - Check under Device Manager
1. Right-click My Computer, and select Manage.
id107-1.gif
2. Click Device Manager on the left pane.
id10-2-3.gif

NOTE: Sansa MP3 Players canconnect to your computer in MSC or MTP mode. Exceptions are SansaConnect and Sansa Express which only use MTP mode. MTP mode is therecommended and default method for Sansa Players when used with WindowsOS.

The Sansa player will show up on Device Manager's right pane as:
1. USB Mass Storage device (if the player is set to MSC)
2. Portable Device (if the player is set to MTP mode)

If there is a yellow exclamation point (!) or question mark (?) beside the device, try to refresh the drivers.

STEP 3 - Refresh the drivers
1. Right-click the entry with the error mark, select Uninstall.
2. On the top menu, click Action then select Scan for hardware changes.

NOTE: If a device with yellowexclamation point (!) continually appears and disappears, then theplayer is most likely failed. Additional troubleshooting is unlikely tocorrect the problem.

SOLUTION 3 - Connect using MSC mode
Connecting in MSC mode will help determine if there is a problem withMTP mode or with the Auto Detect mode feature of the player. You canuse Forced MSC mode or switch the player settings to MSC.

Instructions to connect in Forced MSC mode are listed here:
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61

Instructions to switch player to MSC mode are listed here: http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/207

If the player is detected in MSC mode but not when set to MTP mode, try to update or reinstall the Sansa firmware

NOTE: Sansa Express and SansaConnect do not have MSC mode. For Sansa Connect you can tryreinstalling the firmware using the Connect Recovery Mode.

Additional troubleshooting notes:
If you have replaced the Sansa Player and you still have problemsgetting it to recognize in the computer, then you may need to try someadditional troubleshooting.
- Try connecting on another computer.
- Try using a different USB cable
- Try connecting to the back USB ports which may supply better power.
- If only MTP mode is not working, try reinstalling Windows Media Player
For Windows XP try also download and install the MTP Porting Kit

Okay well i recently formated it well a friend did

The best thing that you could do is to contact the manufacturer. After reformatting the device, there's a possibility that the complete driver or firmware was loaded properly.

Contacting the manufacturer and have them re-install the program or firmware should fix the problem.

Good luck!

My pendrive infected by virus, its not possible to romve virusfil

you have to stop Autorun feature of your windows which kicks in when we connect any new storage device first, then you will be able to format the drive and start fresh.

Steps to remove autorun:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967715
(restart your computer first without the pen drive and then start the below procedure)
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then click the following entry in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionpoliciesExplorerNoDriveTypeAutorun
  3. Right-click NoDriveTypeAutoRun, and then click Modify.
  4. In the Value data box, type 0xFF to disable all types of drives. Or, to selectively disable specific drives, use a different value as described in the "How to selectively disable specific Autorun features" section.
  5. Click OK, and then exit Registry Editor.
  6. Restart the computer.

When I turn it on, the Refresh database screen

I've run into this issue before with my SanDisk Sansa the issue is typically either you are running close the to the size limit or there are some large files that have corrupted. I've fixed by completely removing all the files from the device. Please keep in mind the below steps will remove all the music from your device and this will need to be synced back over:
1. Connect the SanDisk to a PC via the USB cable
2. After this is connected it should show up as an additional drive in the My Computer window (possibly E or F, but this varies).
3. Expand the corresponding drive letter until you get to where your music is stored.
4. Delete all the music folders/files
5. Disconnect the SansaDisk from the computer and then power it off and then back on.
The Database should refresh properly and then you should be able to begin syncing items back to the device (I would suggest syncing items in small blocks to prevent any corruption from occurring again). If you encounter any problems, let me know.

I can't add videos to my Sansa FUZE.

first off get the arcsoft media converter 3, then drag and drop the videos you want to get on your mp3 player into the program, after it converts it it loads them onto your mp3 player as long as its connected, this program will also allow you to download youtube videos and put them on your mp3 player too. Your player supports WMA videos

I can't download any videos

The problem is that it is difficult to get the video onto your Sansa in the proper format ,you use The media converter software to download and convert. It will convert every video type you thrown at it ( XVID, DIVX, MPEG2) with no problem. M-JPEG is an antiquated format,
