It is adjustable and will fit any 42 inches LCD TV. It can also be adjusted to fit any TV inches be it 24, 32, 42 and above.

described it seems to be an issue with the internal circuitry of the unit,
please post a comment with the manufacturers name and model no# of the TV with
a detailed question about the issue.

My Soyo LC32B6C205K A02858 model
Have you removed back and Looked on power supply Board for bad capacitors they will be swollen,vented or puffed up on top ,if you have any that are like this replace them. Or you may just need to replace Power supply Board and heres another known fact that if your Display Panel is bad their is No Replacement Parts.
Power will not come on
Unplug from the wall the longer the better, then hold power button while pluging back it to try and reset.
Tv won't turn on
Try plugging something else (a lamp?) into the power-outlet, to see if the wall-outlet is providing power.
Try plugging the TV into some other "known-good" wall-outlet.
Take the TV to a repair shop, and have them trouble-shoot.
