What you have in your Toshiba is “G”...

My laptop suddenly crashed and it is not turning on

1. Pull the RAM and Reseat it..
2. Check the Fan/Heatsink to see if Clogged
3. Check AC Adapter with a multimeter to see if it's supplying power
4. Check DC Jack on the motherboard (the port where your Charger Plug Plugs into)

Need to down load system disk for tecra 8200

I would suggest using a recovery disk, but if you need the data off of it I would take it to the a repair shop.

Laptop crashed

if u have not changed ur hard disk just want to restore ur system from a crashed windows u can do it as below without any cd actually a safe copy of OS is kept at a location in the original hard drive that came with ur laptop just try this and all will be ok

BEFORE TURNING ON THE LAPTOP, press and hold the 0 (zero) button on the keyboard, then turn on the computer while holding the 0 (zero) button down. When the Toshiba logo screen appears, you can release the 0 key.

it will install the operating system as it was the day u bought the notebook

Tecra 8200

Download a program called Netstumbler.
This will show if your wireless is doing anything at all firstly.
If the card is internal then check if the wireless cards antenna's are connected still. Sometimes they are not on there correctly, just sitting there and look like they are connected.
If you can see the access point with this program then check the router to see if the access method hasn't been limited locking out your card from connecting. Normally that is listed in the wireless access list by MAC address etc.

Networking is more complex then most realise, but the info above should help you to start with.

Toshiba Tecra R85. CMOS battery location on it please?

is that a typo OP< R850 is it? use you tube, key word dismantle. or replace motherboard. see coin cell in the process. found it for you and is special battery rechargable it is, no CR2032 sorry R850 found it by pretending to buy the whole mobo. rtc-oiylrsmw3ek2y54ns2x2w4ad-d-0.jpg see the red x, it is bundle of batteries like this using the wrong battery it will explode, the users guide said that . and will.
