Hey there. This problem is something that occurs fairly often and it's usually fixed by simply looking for a button on your keyboard or somewhere else on your laptop that turns the wifi of the laptop on/off. Chances are that it accidentally got turned off and that this is the reason the laptop isn't detecting any networks.

Hi Welcome to FixYa! You dont have to worry. You could buy a retail copy of Windows XP from a computer store.
Then, if its with the drivers for your computer that you are worrying about, you could refer to the link below so that you could download the appropriate drivers for it: http://tinyurl.com/L15-S104

Hope this would be a big help!

System restore won't do it. If it is only some keys not working and others are, unless you've added some shortcut keys it sounds more like a problem with the keyboard itself and would have to be replaced. Sometimes it maybe dust or grit that is under a key/s and the key isn't fully compressing and making contact. You can carefully blow it out lightly and check for hair- human or pet hair can also mess up the contact.

If you happened to spill something on the keyboard that would wreck the keyboard too....

Hi AshishB, Yes, Toshiba does refer to the CMOS battery in their literature as the real time clock battery. Your retailer is half right, the battery is on the motherboard but its attached via a connector and it can be replaced. Here are links to a couple of venders that sell the RTC battery for your laptop: - Http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com/Toshiba,Satellite,L15-S104,Laptop,Batteries-Backup-RTC.aspx - http://cgi.ebay.com/Toshiba-Laptop-motherboard-battery-cmos-L15-S104_W0QQitemZ170060189842QQihZ007QQcategoryZ3666QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem Let us know if you have any other questions and please don?t forget to rate the posting.

If the laptop works with the AC Adapter or Charger and the battery is new you have 2 options.
Either the Battery doesnt work, (if u know someone who has a laptop like yours try it with them)
or your motherboard has a problem in the battery circuit and its not working and you have to either fix it with someone who knows about laptops or change the motherboard

Hi.

Does the laptop connect to other wi fi routers? I suggest that you update the laptop's wireless card.

Another, use your normal Wi-Fi manager on your computer to establish a Wi-Fi connection from your computer to the MiFi 2200.

The Wi-Fi settings must match those in use on the MiFi 2200. If using the default settings, refer to the Quick Start Guide for the default values. If you have previously changed the default profile on the MiFi 2200, or are using a different profile, use the values previously set on the MiFi 2200.

On your browser, go to http://192.168.1.1

If it asks for a username and password type admin (username), password (password). Usually those are the default otherwise MIFI has a different one in which you need to get from them.
Check this link to see the settings.

Hope this helps.
