My Toshiba M55 Laptop has a vertical 'ribbon' of flickering. Is it fixable?
Maybe your screen is going bad or the video card inside the computer is
going bad. Try connecting another monitor to the computer to isolate
the problem. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or
co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed monitor
displays ok without the vertical ribbon then your lcd screen is bad and
your video card is good. If the Borrowed monitor displays the same
vertical ribbon as your lcd screen then your video card inside the
computer has an issue. The video will show on most systems when you
reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit
the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the
correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key
will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

My Toshiba M55-S325 won't display on the screen
the back light is the issue, the right thing to do is to try and find one that comes togeather as 1 the back lights on these things can sometimes cost as much as the screen itself. Ebay can be your friend in these situations

Where are my speakers I want to put them on
should be a speaker icon in your systray (lower right of your screen) ... you adjust the sound there. or you can go to start ... control panel and the sound menu in there.

Touchpad Sensitivity - Toshiba Satellite M55-S329
If you have any dust or food particles in the cracks between the touchpad and the laptop, be sure to clean those out with a can of pressurized air. Those will sometimes cause the touchpad to think you are touching it on two places at once, which will make the touchpad jump all over the place.

Typing problem with keyboard
the easy method would be to hook up a USB mouse and disable the touchpad to see if that works. Control Panel -> Mouse (or Printers and other Hardware), then click on the mouse and then click on Advanced or Hardware tab to look at the options. You might be able to have it disable the touchpad when a mouse is present.
