At the moment I would look inside the fresh food section and behind the controls there there you will find the defrost timer. On most you need not take the control panel apart but look for a hole with a plastic plug covering the hole. The part is=> 68233-2 Defrost Timer 8 Hour You may also manually defrost your refrigerator by unplugging the power and removal of frozen good to a ice chest. Either use a hair drier once removal of the rear panel in back of freezer or place a bucket of hot water inside and close the door and wait. Sometime beaware that a lot of water will drain to the defrost condensate pan near compressor and may overflow if not careful. If the timer seems to work then we need to test the defrost heater and defrost thermostat=>

Instructions are on the lower part of that page on how to test with an OHM meter.

Turn the timer clockwise slowly until the compressor and fans stop. That should manually place the refrigerator into defrost. After a minute or so open the freezer door and listen for crackling or sizzle noise. That will be the sound of defrost. Wait about 30 minutes until timer comes out of defrost itself and if not turn the timer again until compressor and fans start again. If this works out like this then replace the timer. If not then we need to go inside the=> Freezer Compartment Components
Part position 12 is the defrost heater and defrost thermostat. Position 13 is the clip that holds heater in place. 68233-2 Defrost Timer

Hold the light and lock buttons in for about 20 seconds to reset the filter indicator .

Good Morning, what you can check on your own is to pull the unit out enough to get behind it, and at the bottom there should be a fiber panel to remove.If so, you should see a compressor, a coil and small condenser fan motor. Make sure the motor is running with the unit calling to cool.Now, look at the front of the coil. It should be very dirty like dust built up. Clean gently so the fins don't bend. Unplug it first.If the coil had a film of dust or a sheet you could pull off that was your problem, or if the motor will not run and is room temp. then it is faulty and will need replacing. These are things you can check.If it continues to do the same thing, it is more then likely a faulty thermostat control. Please let me know what you find. Good Luck, Sincerely,

HI,

if the compressor is running your ref. should be getting cold. Their is a defrost timer but when it is in defrost the compressor shuts off. I think you do have a leak.
most common problem is a bad start relay on the compressor. in rare cases the compressor may be bad. if you are mechanically inclined you can replace the relay yourself for less than 50 dollars. you will need model and serial number off of the unit and order the part by those numbers. if the compressor is bad you will need to hire a good service company

only solution is to relpace the handles, there are 3 parts to each upper, middle nad lower here are teh part numbers youll need 2 of each, both the freezer and refrig are the same parts

Yes sounds like you need a new actuator pad. I had one do this this week and a new pad resolved it.

To connect the water supply using a plastic hose kit to the MBB1954G UNIT, you can follow these steps: Turn off the water supply valve under the sink. Remove the old hose from the water supply valve and the back of the refrigerator. Attach the new plastic hose to the water supply valve and the back of the refrigerator. Make sure the hose is not kinked or twisted. Tighten the fittings with an adjustable wrench. Turn on the water supply valve and check for leaks. Here is a video tutorial that demonstrates how to install a water line to an ice maker or refrigerator using a 5 foot hose with 1/4 inch compression fittings. INSTALLING ICE MAKER / REFRIGERATOR WATER LINE - using 1/4" compression hose (youtube.com)

you can add water filter. It is installed on supply line. go to Home Depot and pick up a refrigerator water filter kit with accessories.

inspect the ice make to check for any sign of visible damage or misalignment, .and unplug the fridge and plug it again
