Frost builds up on the chute betwen the icemaker and the door dispenser unit.

I need you to confirm your model number. Is MZD2665HE correct? The problem is very likely a broken 12565502 Dispenser Door Spring or more providing you have the correct model number. There may be a kit if the model number is different. Thanks, John Tripp Appliance 911 f2a0e6cf-de37-4464-bf3e-c676e5759875.jpg

How do I remove the

Looking at the Diagram at the link below it would appear that the only was to remove it while keeping everything else in place would be either.

1) The left hand side (looking from the back) but I'm presuming that this is the side of the refrigerator and therefore solid,

2) The front by disconnecting the discharge tube (Item 10) from the Condensor (Item 15)

Ice forming in the bottom of the freezer.

When ice forms in the bottom of the freezer it is usually a sure sign that the drain hole located below the evaporator coil has iced over causeing the water not to be able to drain through the drain hole. You would remove the rear panel in the rear of your freezer section on the inside of the freezer you will see a couple screws that hold this panel in place. Remove the screws and this will give you access to the evaporator coil in the unit. If you see any ice build up on the evaporator then your unit would be having a defrost issue and you would not only defrost with a hair dryer all the ice on the bottom of the freezer but also any ice build up you see blocking the drain hole as well as on the evaporator coil itself. The defrost issue is mainly due to either your defrost thermostat, defrost heater, or your defrost timer or adapative control board. Note some units have adaptive control board located in the back of the machine under a metal panel. The most common issue I find is the defrost thermostat which can be tested with a multimeter set to read continuity. Likewise the defrost heater can also be tested the same way. The thermostat is a small two wire round like disc that is usually found on one of the copper lines that come off the evaporator coil. If you find after testing both the defrost timer and the defrost heater that these two are in proper working order then message me back and I will instruct how to test either the adaptive control or the defrost timer. Also if you have any further questions message me back those as well and please also remember when our chat is through to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation. Thanks again I await any further reply

The refrigerator doesn't cool . The fan comes on

Unplug pull away from the wall and remove the cover that covers the compressor. While unplugged feel top of the compressor. If too hot to keep hand there I would believe you may need to replace the start relay=> OVERLOAD/RELAY W/CAPACITOR
Please do not leave plugged into power as the compressor is trying to start and getting very hot. Too much of this will cause the internal overload to remain open. and early compressor failure.
. 67005560-2 Start Relay With Capacitor And while inside please insure the fan runs when plugged in at compressor. Here is your location=> Part 4 in photo is the part below=> MZD2665HEW Compressor Components
Have more questions please ask and please rate this solution, Thanks, Sea Breeze

I have a Maytage Wide by side refridgerator, model

Hello,

Take off the back panel in the freezer. 1/4" screws. Use a nut driver or ratchet and socket with an extension.
2. Behind the frost is the evaporator and the defrost heaters. One heater in the middle and one at the bottom. They are glass tubes. If you can see the bottom heater that is great. If not use a hair dryer and defrost only the very bottom to expose the lower heater only.
3. Now in the refrigerator section at the top where the controls are, take off the long plastic piece to expose the timer. The timer should be on the right hand side and have a little circle that is slotted. Get a flat screwdriver and turn that timer slowly clockwise just until it clicks and the refrigerator turns off. This will put it into defrost.
4. Now look at that heater that you exposed and see if it glows and gets hot. If it does, then the timer is bad.
5. If the heater doesn't come on then go ahead and defrost the rest of the evaporator with the hair dryer. This will take a little while. Don't poke at the evaporator!!!
6. Once totally defrosted look at both heaters. They should look like clear glass and see a silver coil running thru them. If they look discolored at all then the heaters are bad. The heaters come as a complete assembly with the defrost thermostat which clips onto the evaporator.
7. If the heaters look ok the only way to know for sure if they are bad is to check continuity with a meter on the plug at the end of their wiring harness. If you can check that then you can splice in a new defrost thermostat to solve the problem. However the best thing to do is replace the heaters and defrost thermostat . It is easy to install.
Follow these steps and this will solve your problem.
Take care.....
