Why has my viewsonic VE910b monitor image become faint?

If you have been using this monitor for some time, it's possible that the CCFL backlight is starting to wear out. That would mean it is time to buy a new units. Backlights are not a usual item that is serviced by replacement. Otherwise, there could be an issue with the backlight circuitry or there may even be a failure of the main board. Advise taking it in for service to get a more accurate diagnosis.

Why does My N2635W goes to full volume at turn on and can not adjust with remote or panel controls?

The volume up button may be jammed in the down position. Try pressing the button to free it. Otherwise it could be a shorted volume up button.

Why did my computer monitor stop showing an image?

Disconnect it from computer and power. wait 15 minutes and plug only the power back in, press the power on button. The monitor may display a message that there is no signal or something like that. If that happens the problem is either the cable or the computer. If you get no message then look for the menu button and press it to see if any thing appears. If not find the manual on line and read it. Many times monitors get over-driven by computers to the point that they can't display OR they self destruct. OR Another way is to just unplug everything computer and monitor for 15 minutes. Plug in monitor first then plug in computer and press the power button, the display should display the booting information if the cable is good and the monitor is good.

Why do I have to turn the on and off switch on my monitor at least six times to get it to turn on

Something inside is going bad; most likely the switch itself.

Speaker static

Separate wiring so there is no cross-talk of signals. If speakers fail, buy new set <$20.00 (walmart), and hook up, then you have great sound.

VS10945-1m powers on then off

Hi Walt, You probably don't want to hear this but your monitor is old. If a monitor has lasted 5 years with reasonable use, then it has performed well. When I was researching your product I saw it was offered for sale in 2006. When electronics start to have issues like this, it's a sign to buy a replacement.

Monitor will not turn on after extended periods

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor. 2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor. 3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on. 4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works). 5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord. 6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced. 7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Viewsonic Monitor VA1912w

I just got a Viewsonic monitor with a flickering interference moving from top to bottom.  On examining the internal power board the capacitors CE101 and C200 were seen to be 'blowing'.  Replacing these 220uF capacitors restored correct operation.  I uprated the 2 capacitors to 105C 50V.

View sonic va 1918wm-2 lcd monitor on when booting then off switch off and on display comes and going

While booting the PC changes resolution several times. It could be that by the monitor finally locks onto the signal, the PC changes it again so it tries to lock on again. Question is, does the video stay on when the PC finally stabilizes onto the desktop screen?

My ViewSonic 2230wm made a loud noise as it flicked once and shut off forever.

Getting the parts needed and repairing this monitor would probably not be cost effective. If nothing happens when you try to turn it on (i.e. no lights or LEDs come on) then it probably is the power suppley circuitry that is failing. If you are technically capable, you could remove the covers and look for a blown capacitor (the loud bang sounds like a capacitor).
