Hello, you can install this head unit into the taurus as long as you are confident in wiring the unit in yourself. the colour wires from the car WILL NOT match the colours from the CD player, although a experienced installer will be able to splice the wires together in the orrect way to make it work!I hope this helpsRegardsGrant

You shouldnt have any problem at all. These don't use any special anti-theft features that would keep you from using any faceplate.

The type of cable needed to connect a I-Pod or MP3 Player is called a ALPINE FULL SPEED™ Connection Cable, part number (KCE-422i). It can be ordered through any car Audio Shop or Online through Alpine Direct and connects to the back of the head unit.
You are also able to burn MP3 files onto a CD and play them this way.
I hope this solves your problem

hello sir hi, If the CD is playing, but is no sound coming out from the player, this may be the likely trouble. sorry there are no quick fix for this.
  • check for selector switch contact, a faulty switch with poor contact does not connect the correct circuit where the signal of the CD should go to be amplified.
  • dirty or loose CD lens contact, a visual circuit inspection is needed here.
  • signal break from the CD lens to the power amplifier is needed to be checked, this requires to be checked by a technician with an oscilloscope to trace where the signal got lost. this is the best way to find the trouble.
  • The spindle is not spinning or spinning fast to properly read the disk. OR
  • Bring it to a Car stereo dealer and ask for service. They have in-house tech guys to analyse the trouble.
If the price of service is higher or very close to a new one, i guess its time to buy one.

make sure all speaker connections and power grnd connections are soldered and either taped or heat shrunk

Alpine CDE-9852... • Answered on Aug 17, 2010

when you push that power button it draws power from a 12volt constant and sends it to the acc on the deck witch tells it to turn on and off! this acc may be shared with the ing acc. now the only way that it could start your engine is if this acc is grounding out to stater, ing, acc wires etc, remote car starter involed?
