Try the steps below these processes are called a power scans, there is a different type for any equipment needed. This should take 5-6 minutes per item to program.
For DVD/VCR's:
1.) Press and hold the correct VCR/DVD button (about six seconds) until all mode button backlights come on, then release.
2.) Press 222 pound (#) then record three times.
3.) With the desired equipment on, press and hold the VCR/DVD button until all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
4.) Press and release the Power button.
5.) Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
6.) Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
For TV's:
POWER SCAN
1.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, then press 500 pound ( #)
2.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, press the big power button once.
3.) Press the channel up button once per second until the TV turns off then press pound (#).
For any other equipment:
Power Scan AUX
1.) With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct AUX button until all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
2.) press 0 for a TV, press 1 for a VCR/DVD, press 2 for any other device, then press *.
Press and release the large red Power button.
3.) Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
With any of these methods verify the code works by trying several different functions for that equipment.

Will not eject disk.
Almost always, your described problem could be caused by:
- stuck disc;
- fault in the load/eject mechanism.
It
it were a stuck disc, the correct fix would be to open the unit and
manually extract the erring disc. However, there may be possible
workarounds:
- unplug the unit for an hour or so;
- press and hold the eject button while plugging in; or
- unplug the unit for an hour or so;
- invert the unit (bottom side up);
- plug back the Apex and quickly unplug soon as you hear the mechanical noise start;
- revert to normal position and try ejecting; or
- while still in the inverted position, press and hold the eject button while plugging in but must unplug quickly even before the tray starts to move out.

No,the DVD players are so cheap now,not worth the money or the time to repair the thing.Parts belong to the cheap prices devices are impossible to find parts or they never produced extra parts for it.Basic DVD players,CD players are disposible machines these day.U can buy new one,around $40 dollars.

The dvd disc will not eject. disc holder is stuck
Take the top off. See if you can get the disc out,sometimes that easy and sometimes not. The tray's usually is a rack and gear drive. Sometimes the rack and gear get out of sync. Try turning the gears gently to see if you can get it lined back up. Also you can sometimes unplug the dvd for about 30 to 45 sec. and plug back in and that reset the processor. You might want to try that first. Hope this is helpful.
