Import photos from Fuji 460 to computer

Transferring digital photos from your camera is necessary to clear your memory card. Adobe Photoshop Elements makes downloading photographs easy, or you can import pictures to your computer with Windows. Then you can make prints, copy photos to a CD or DVD, and share them online.

Cannot get memory card into camera

F460 uses Xd picture card format. Obsruction to the "Insert/eject" mechanism is probable cause. Card inserted incorrectly? Removed incorrectly? Replace card slot. Probably not cost effective though.

I cannot get memory card into camera

Your camera uses "xD-Picture Card" memory cards. To insert the memory card, you have to open the battery cover and you see a little room, where the card goes in. There should be a gold marking indicating where the contact area on the card should be when inserted. Don't try to insert any other kind of card. I saw a xD-Picture Card adapter, where you could insert a micro SD card, but I'm not sure your camera can work with such a adapter.

Battery wont charge

As in the first part of the manual is explained, when you have inserted the battery correct and you then plug in the charger, the charger light should go on. When the light is out, the battery is charged. When the light blinks, your battery is fault. When the light does not go on, when you plug it in a power outlet, the battery is not inserted correct, or the contacts are dirty. If you want to clean the contacts, please only use a dry cloth. Never us a sharp tool. It would damage the contacts bend repair. Even when you plug in the charger, with a fully loaded battery, the light should go on for only a few moments. Make sure the power outlet works normally. and the power cable is not defect.

When I try to take

Since there is less light, the camera leaves the shutter open for a longer time....plenty of time for you to move the camera slightly enough to blur the pictures. Here are some suggestions: 1. If the camera has some version of "shake control" or "image stabilization", turn it on. 2. Set the ISO to a higher number. 3. Turn on more lights inside if possible. 4. Use a tripod or set the camera on a firm surface.

Shutter does not close fully..

If the shutter isn't closing it could be annoying or expensive. The dust may be enough to jam the little motor or mechanism that close and opens the shutter. If you are lucky all that needs to be done is to clean out the track with a qtip(cotton swab) or a very small brush or both. If the mechanism is damaged or the cleaning does not help them the repair cost will be more than a new camera. Unfortunately repair parts for cameras are very expensive. If you have a camera shop they should be able to look at it and tell you if a cleaning will help or what your other options are.

I am having problems loading

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.
