If this is a DVD Recorder, you must be sure that DVD -/+ discs are FINALIZED. The discs you've recorded should also be checked on another DVD player other than the one they were recorded on. If not finalized, they will play nowhere else but the recorder they were recorded on. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/stanley_d05f392d8fafa669

Adjust tracking go on go video vr3930

Tracking will only adjust on the VCR and may only be on the original remote.Note that if there is tape debris or black residue on posts and guides or even video head drum tracking will not adjust--any debris will cause tape to move away from the drum resulting in a tracking like issue---tape cleaners rarely resolve this.

Hi, If you have necessary tools and test instruments, know safety precaution inbasic troubleshooting try the steps below to solve your problem.
Assuming that the disc is good.
1.Clean the lens. -Sometimes because of dust and any fine foreign objects the optical lens can'tread any disc. If you have a DVD Lens cleaner, play it to the unit. If this isnot available you may manually clean the optical lens. Open the cover andgently clean the eye of the lens by smooth, clean, soft cotton buds. Be carefulwhile doing this, just a gentle stroke only.
2.Check the ribbon - Checkthe ribbon connected to the lens from the main board for scratch, damage. Once it has anopen line then of course the lens can't read the disc, this is because of themovement of the optical lens back-and-forth. Also try to erase the contact by pencileraser. If you've done the steps above and the symptoms still there then thenext step requires you a little knowledge in soldering technique and readingthe ohmmeter.
3.Check the spindle motor -Check the spindle motor that spin the disc with an ohmmeter. You can test itusing the ohmmeter (x1) even it is connected on the lens assembly.Good motor - reading should be fairly high and itwill spin. Bad motor-reading will drop to low resistance and will not spin. Clickthis link for more info. LINK1 LINK2
Hint : Most of my repairedunit the above parts are commonly caused of the problem.
If you confirmed that you have a defective motor then replace it with a newone. Before replacing the new motor you have to check the clearance of the discholder with the old one. The clearance should be the same as the old because ifnot the lens will not read the disc if it is too far or too close.
If the above steps didn't cure the problem, high chance that your optical lenswas faulty.
If youcan't do the job yourself, I would advice you to look for a professional totroubleshoot the symptom. Also, check if your unit is under warranty period, avail it because the manufacturerwill fix it for free. Don't attempt to open the cover(it will void thewarranty). Hope Ihelped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

The remote for the GoVideo VR3845 has stopped

Here is a link to a website where you can purchase a replacement remote control for your device:

http://www.replacementremotes.com/GOVIDEO/Buy-VR3845-6711R1N155A-DVD-VCR-Combo-Remote-Control.html

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information and items at the website indicated.

As you can see from the site above, an exact replacement remote can be expensive.

You may be better off using that money to buy a high quality universal remote control like a LOGITECH HARMONY. These high end universal remotes are also expensive, usually $100 or more, but they are VERY reliable and can be easily programmed to control ANY electronic device in your collection.

Here is a link to the LOGITECH HARMONY website where you can browse their wide selection of universal remote controls:

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/remotes/universal-remotes

Please comment back here to this page if you have any details to add, have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.

That is a lens problem .you can clean the lens first with a cotton buds moistened with an alcohol and gently wipe it on the lens .

You will need to open the cover of your device. You will find the mechanical loading disc tray. The one where disc is loaded that moves in and out when ejecting or inserting the disk. In the middle of the mechanical loading you will find a spindle motor and beside this is a small glass illuminating red when the unit is on. This is the lens. Clean it with a cotton bud moistened with alcohol.

You may also need to check the ribbon wire that connects the lens and the CPU. Replace it with a new one if possible. Check /secure all the connectors from the board and to the mechanical system.

Let me know how it goes..

The dvr drawer that holds the disk does not open

I have this model and you need a can of compressed air, q-tips, alcohol, and electronics lube from Radio Shack. UNPLUG the unit, take it apart, clean the drawer with the q-tips and alcohol, then LIGHTLY lube the moving parts. While you have it apart, you might as well clean the DVD lens.
