1. Put the first person on HOLD. 2. Make the 2nd call (either using the intercom or an outside line) 3. After you've reached the 3rd party, press the CONFERENCE key. A three-way conference is established. Hope this helps!

I know this post is old, but maybe someone will benefit from this answer in the future. To set the time & date on a Southwestern Bell FT484 telephone, follow these instructions:

1. Press SET button
2. Enter 2 digit month and 2 digit day (1218 for Dec 18)
3. Enter 1 digit Day code (1=Sunday, 2=Monday, 3=Tuesday, etc)
4. Enter 2 digit Hour and 2 digit Minute code (0445 for 8:45)
5. Press * for AM or # for PM

Summary: to program Thursday, December 18th at 4:45 PM, you will enter this sequence "121850445#". It does not allow entry for the Year, so you will need to manually adjust for leap year. Hope this helps someone out there.

The FT-484 requires the ACC-484 Caller ID Server if you want the caller ID information to appear in the display. I believe you can purchase them from International Resources here http://www.intlresources.com/pages/ft484.html.
