Onkyo TA-RW255 Single Cassette Deck Questions & Answers
I have an Onkyo SR-TX806 and it displays video from HDMI OUT but can't find a signal from HDMI IN
It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the HDMI input on your Onkyo receiver. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the HDMI cable - Make sure that the HDMI cable you're using to connect your video source to the receiver is properly plugged in and functioning. Try swapping the cable with a new one to see if that resolves the issue.
Check the video source - Make sure that the video source (e.g. cable box, Blu-ray player) is turned on and properly configured to output video over HDMI. Also, try connecting a different video source to the HDMI input on the receiver to see if the problem is with the receiver or the video source.
Reset the receiver - Try resetting the receiver to its factory settings. To do this, turn off the receiver, then press and hold the "VCR/DVR" button on the front panel of the receiver while pressing the "On/Standby" button. The receiver should display "Clear" on the front panel display. Release the "VCR/DVR" button and the receiver should reset to its factory settings.
Check for firmware updates - Go to the Onkyo website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your receiver. If there are, download and install the update to see if it resolves the issue.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem with the HDMI input on the receiver. In this case, you may need to have the receiver serviced by a professional technician.
Hello Fixya team, I need help!
To set up your home theater system with the equipment you mentioned, follow these steps:
- Connect the Onkyo receiver to the NEC TV using an HDMI cable. Make sure the HDMI input on the TV is set to the correct input for the Onkyo receiver.
- Connect the Panasonic DVD player to the Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable.
- Connect the Firestick Lite to the Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable.
- Connect the Panasonic speakers to the Onkyo receiver using speaker wires. Make sure you connect the speakers to the correct speaker terminals on the receiver, which are usually labeled with the speaker's position (e.g. front left, front right, center, surround left, surround right).
- Configure the Onkyo receiver to use the correct input for each device. For example, set the input to "DVD" when you want to watch a movie on the Panasonic DVD player, or set the input to "Firestick" when you want to watch content on the Firestick Lite.
- Configure the audio settings on the Onkyo receiver to use the correct audio format for your content. For example, if you are watching a movie with Dolby Digital surround sound, make sure the receiver is set to decode Dolby Digital audio.
- Adjust the volume and other audio settings on the Onkyo receiver as needed to optimize the sound quality.
Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to enjoy surround sound audio from your Panasonic speakers through the Onkyo receiver.
Onkyo HT-R550 front panel Display doesn't work.
I don’t have access to schematic for HTR550 but I do for HTR500 and it will be very similar. The components of interest are in the display board, primarily the electrolytic capacitors, it has likely failed. The screen brightness voltage comes in as ac to the screen board then goes through the circled area in the picture below, the likely failure is as said the electrolytic capacitor or could be dry solder joints. Burnt resistor will always be permanent and not intermittent. It could also be the -VP line causing the fault but this is less likely.
Lost surround Onkyo sr 60.1
It sounds like there may be an issue with the amplifier or the speaker wire. The fact that the channel has come back after reconnecting the speaker wire in the past suggests that the problem may be with the wire itself. However, the fact that the cat has chewed on the wire may have caused damage to it, which could be causing the current issue. It could also be an issue with the amplifier, such as a burn out on the right surround channel. To determine the cause of the problem and whether it is worth fixing, it would be best to take the amplifier to a professional for diagnosis and repair. The cost of the repair will depend on the specific issue that is causing the problem.
Onkyo TXNR-807 eARC issues
If you're having trouble getting sound from your TV, there are a few things you can check to try and troubleshoot the issue.
First, double-check all the connections between your TV and receiver. Make sure they are secure and that you're using the correct inputs.
Next, take a look at your TV's settings. Make sure eARC is enabled and that the TV is outputting sound through the correct port.
If you're not sure how to do this, consult your TV's manual. Similarly, check your receiver's settings to make sure eARC is enabled and that it is set to the correct input.
Again, consult your receiver's manual if you're not sure how to do this. If you're still having trouble, try resetting your receiver. This can often fix audio issues.
Hopefully one of these tips will help you get the sound from your TV working properly.
