Euro-Pro Shark 60 - 384 Questions & Answers
Show do I thread the euro shark 60?
I believe it's on the right side back edge of your machine facing you, most machines have arrows printed on the machine for the direction the thread is to be threaded.
How to make a buttonhole
You shopuld have a button hole attachment foot and the instructions are in the manual. Try manuals on line.
How do I thread the Needle?
It is so difficukt to tell without pictures but I'll try. From reel of thread to loop or clip at left top of machine, through the thread guide, down the right side of the take up lever up over the left side, down the front through the loop and into to the needle loop then into the eye of the nedele. I sure hope this helps. :-)
The know on the side of the machine that rotates the needle when turned by hand is tight, hard to turn. What do I need to do to fix it or adjust it so that it turns without having to force it to turn
I do have a couple of suggestions but would feel better if you'd first e-search Sharpe's site for your model's "Service manual"-a manual for simple repairs and how your machine disassembles and runs. With it you'd be a step ahead on a lot of your machine's maintenance and trouble issues!Don't give up too easily on your search.Sharpe likely sold the right to make your exact machine to other machine makers. These companies may have a Service Manual if Sharpe doesn't. You may be able to save and print from a PDF file.
I'm not "up" on the newer machines so am assuming you have a belt drive machine: a rubber-like belt that is turned by the hand knob as well as the motor. What your describing is likely a too tight screw that secures the knob to the belt revolutions' workings (especially if the knob has been removed before).
If your Sharpe knob pulls (toward your hand) to stop the needle for bobbin winding and THAT's too tight, then you have another screw in the knob to slightly loosen!
In both cases, carefully disassemble the knob and look for the problem screw(s). Should the machine smell like burning rubber or make a screeching sound at high speed you'll need to change the belt and adjust it-probably with a professional.Old belts do get stiff, cracked and sometimes ragged so a new belt can make the motor run quieter and smoother.Hope this helps you especially, maybe others as well.
I have been sewing all morning. Suddenly the fabric does not feed everything is clean
Look at the feed dogs to see if they are rising above the needle plate at least 1 mm. If not rising lint may have felted between the feed dogs and the needle plate. It could also be the feed dogs have been lowered, or the height has slipped. If the feed dogs are above the needle plate turn the hand wheel and see if they are moving from the front of the machine to the back. If not it is a length adjustment. If this is normal the pressure on the fabric may be too low. Another problem may be the timing of the feed dogs. The feed dogs should rise above the needle plate when the needle leaves the fabric and descend when the needle comes down into the fabric. This requires an expert to fix.
Bobbin assembly
It probably goes together much like this: http://www.manualslib.com/manual/85659/Kenmore-385-15208.html?page=68
My bobbin casing keeps jumping loose
it would be a good idea to have the sewing machine checked to see if there is something wrong with the hook and hook race that hold the bobbin casing.. you may need a new bobbin casing.
Why wont my bobbin thread
it is very possible that the machine could have jumped time& needs to be checked at a sewing machine shop, because a sewing machine technican has the tools to retime the machineif it is out of time
